Chapter Six

While the commotion is going on, one girl was standing in a corner, covering her mouth to prevent her cries to be heard. She knew what was coming. She knew it was already the end for her.

  

Back at the 12 handsome guys surrounding 9 pretty ladies.

  

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

  

"Kai..."

  

"I know this seems sudden and awkward but I liked you since the first time I saw you. You gave me inspiration to continue my dream, my dancing. You gave me strength to overcome my problems. And you made me feel butterflies in my stomach when I think of you. Please accept my feelings." He said and put his head down, waiting for an answer, any answer, but it would be nice if he hears a yes.

  

"Sorry, I can't. Not now, give me time to think."

  

Kai looked up with a smile but sadness was evident in his tone and in his eyes. "It's okay Hyoyeon, I'll wait. Can I have a hug?"

  

"Sure." He hugged her very tight and let go.

  

"You should go home now. Take care."

  

"I will. Annyeong." Hyoyeon left together with the other 8 girls.

  

"Kai...are you okay?" Suho asked in concern.

  

"Of course I am. I need to find Hyeri, I promised to take her home today." He left them, not wanting to see them pitying him.

  

"Maybe I should just look for Hyeri..." He saw her in her usual place in the school's garden, rubbing her eyes. "Hyeri-ah?"

  

She looked up at him, surprised to see him when he should be with Hyoyeon. "Oh, Jongin, why are you here?"

  

"I can't be with my bestfriend? You don't want to be my valentine?"

  

"No, it's okay." She smiled at him, knowing that he needs her comfort.

  

"Let's go on a date?" He asked her jokingly but his words made her blush.

  

"Okay! Where are you gonna take me at this late hour?"

  

"It's not yet late, it's only 6."

  

"Fine. Whatever you say."

  

"Want ice cream?"

  

"You really know what I like!"

  

"Of course! Kaja!" He grabbed her hand and wrapped it to his arm.

…

  

"Goodnight Hyeri-ah." He kissed her forehead lightly.

  

"Night Jongin." She was about to turn the knob but he held her hand.

  

"Hyeri-ah...can I stay over tonight?"

  

She didn't need any explanation and let him in. Her parents are on a business trip. They don't mind Kai sleeping at their daughter's room since they knew him since he was young.

  

"So Jongin, want to tell me something?" She asked as soon as they entered her room.

  

"Hyeri..." He hugged her and buried his face in her hair.

"It's okay, tell me if you're ready." He nodded his head and just hugged her tighter.
