"Harry, can you keep hold of your sisters hand?" Lily shouted across the cobbled street. Harry just rolled his eyes, he was 11 now and was currently in Diagon Ally, collecting his school supplies for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

"If I have to." Harry sighed. Emily, his younger sister, was old enough to walk by herself and didn't need to hold Harry's hand, but he did it anyway. He didn't like his mother when she got annoyed at him for not doing something.

Emily Potter grasped hold of her big brothers hand and briskfully walked along with him, smiling as she did.

"Right, Harry. Just your pet and robes to get now." James beamed. He was so proud. He knew from the very start he would have a son, the spitting image of him. With his mothers eyes, of course. He just couldn't get his head around the fact he had an 11 year old, who was finally getting prepared for his first year of hogwarts. The school himself and his mother met in. James wondered... Would harry meet his princess there?

"Daddy, I want a pet!" Emily cried.

"And you will Poppet, once you start Hogwarts." James replied  calmly. The only trouble with Emily was that she wanted everything that Harry has and was not satisfied until she did. When Harry's letter came she had a screaming fit for at least half and hour before Remus was able to calm her down with cuddles and ice cream. She found it so unfair that Harry was going to Hogwarts but she couldn't just yet.

"Let's get my robes then." Harry smiled up at his dad. He was way too excited for this.

Harry, Emily, James and Lily walked into Madam Malkins to get his robes. In the middle of the room on a platform stood a thin blonde haired boy, hair slicked back, admiring himself in the mirror.

Stood behind him was a tall, slim man, same platinum hair, tied back with a perfect black bow.

"Malfoy..." James uttered.

"Potter..." Lucius replied.

"I didn't know you had a son." Said James, looking at the boy stood on the podium, proudly checking out his new uniform.

"Likewise..."

"Don't kid yourself Lucius, you were working for him that night..."

"I know... I'm sorry." Lucius bowed his head down in shame.

"Save it." James turned back to Harry. "Come on, lets get a move on."

Harry at this point was staring at the blonde boy. Something was pulling him close to him. From the way their fathers spoke, Harry knew that they knew each other... And not for good reasons either. Were Harry and this boy not allowed to know or acknowledge each other? When they got to hogwarts were they allowed to be friends? So many thoughts ran through young Harry's head, but he knew not to ask now... Especially not with Emily around. Or his mother for that matter. She was very protective of both him and his sister and never knew why. But maybe this Malfoy man was behind the reason?

It wasn't long before the Potter's headed back to their home in Godrics Hollow, school supplies and a snowy white owl in hand.

Lily took her keys from her handbag and unlocked the door with a quick, swift movement. Sighing as she did, glad to be home.

"SURPRISE!"

The lights flicked on and all of Harry's friends and Family were there.

Remus and Sirius had made a Happy Birthday Harry Banner, Molly Weasley had made a birthday cake, Fred and George Weasley had made their own balloons with Harry's face on them and Arthur Weasley had bought a muggle tableturner round with some records.

Harry beamed at his friends and family who had come round to celebrate.

"So good to see you all, thank you so much!"Harry smiled, Abba playing in the background.

"How did you know that man in the robe shop?" Harry asked his dad. The party had finally finished and everyone had gone home. Everyone except Remus and Sirius, who practically lived in the spare room.

"I just knew him a long time ago, that's all." James assured.

"Dad, I know when you're lying to me."

"Harry, I don't think you're ready for the truth yet."

"I'm 11, Im not a kid anymore."

James sighed. "You can't tell your mother I told you, she doesn't want you finding out about any of this."  Harry nodded. "And Emily, she's too young to know."

"Okay. Go on.."

"Before you were born, there was a dark wizard who came after us. He caused complete mayhem. Me, your mother, Remus, Sirius, Peter, the weasleys and quite a few others, were in a secret organisation to help stop him. From what I can remember there was a prophecy that a young boy would be much greater than him. He thought it was you. This evil wizard had a following and Lucius Malfoy was part of it. We got tipped off from Severus that he was coming to us. The whole of the order came round to stop him. He wasn't expecting company. We're not sure if he is still alive anymore, but after that night no one saw him. He's not been heard of since.." James told.

"Is this why you and mum are so protective?"

"We're always going to be protective, we're your parents and we love you, but yes."

"Thank you, dad." Harry smiled, before giving him a hug and laying down ready for sleep.
