Copying my brother, I took one of the boxes and started walking towards the mansion, making a mental note to get him back for that.
"Mum, where's my room?"
My voice echoed loudly in the entrance, startling me."It's on the 3rd floor darling!"
"Thanks!"
I slowly walked up the staircase, huffing and puffing. Don't get me wrong, I am good at sports, but stairs are my weakness.
I gasped as I entered my new room. Not just because I was out of breath, but it's huge, with an en suite bathroom and large windows, overlooking the garden and the forest beyond.
I felt like I'm in a fairytale. The only reason we had such an awesome house, is because my dad just got promoted and now had the top job!
My bed, wardrobe and desk have already been brought up, so all I needed to do is get my stuff and I would be ready to start living here.
"Knock knock"
I turned around and saw my dad in the doorframe."Daddy!" I squeaked, jumping into his arms. I haven't seen him in like two months.
"How's my little muffin doing?"
I thought about how the last month has been for me.
Saying goodbye to my best friend Emily.
Getting sneered at from the high schools most popular girl, because I had too move to a new school, where I probably wouldn't make any friends.
For a split second I had the urge to tell him everything.
But instead I said:"Fine. Great. Everything's been great"
I pulled out of my dads embrace and looked up at him. He had a huge grin spread across his face.
"See, I told you that everything would be okay with school""Robert, please come down here for a sek!"
My dad sighed and looked down at me.
"I best get downstairs, your mum doesn't sound very happy"
"Robert!"
"Coming daring!"
And with that my dad excited my room. I sighed and plonked myself down on the bed. Why is life so complicated?

After I've unpacked most of the boxes, it was beginning to darken outside.
Sitting at my desk, I grab my laptop and go onto FaceTime. After the second ring, Emily answers the call.
Suddenly, her face fills the screen.
"Sophie!" She shrieks.
"How are you? Is everything okay? How does your room look like?"Before she could continue bombarding me with questions I cut her off.
"I'm fine Em, don't worry.
And yes everything is okay. You wouldn't believe how big my room is!"I turn my laptop around to show her my room.
"Wow, that's huge! I wish my room was like that."
Emily is the nicest person I know. She's sweet, caring, clumsy and energetic. She has two brothers and sisters. Because she is the youngest in the family, she got the smallest room in the house.
Which I tell you, is really, I mean really small."You can always come and visit me, you know that"
"I know" she huffs, looking like she wanted nothing more than to jump into the next plane and get here.
"Aww, don't worry babe, it'll be fine. Anyways, I need to go know. School starts at 9am tomorrow and it's been a long day."
"If you must. But call me tomorrow, okay?"
"Okay"
I switch off my computer and start for my wardrobe.
I grab a pair of pajamas and climb into my bed.I plug my phone charger into the socket next to my bed.
After switching on Bruno Mars's playlist, I start drifting off to sleep.——————————————
