With the monstrous Prince on her heels, she rushed to her chamber as she itched to clutch her most treasured valuable.

With an echoing thud she bolted her chamber door, stepping back as she caught her breath in the deathly silence.

The scraping of a blade traced the chamber door, as a thrilling laugh sounded behind it, making her shiver violently.

Oh Princess, you lower yourself to a peasant with no honour to defend yourself.

The Prince sighed, in pity. Bolting your chamber door with no escape, except for a deathly fall out your chamber window is not wise. But nevertheless, you shall die a slow and painful death my little Princess.

Scurrying, with little time, the Princess searched for the valuable that she held close to her heart.

A locket from long ago

As the crafted silver touched her shivering hands, she held it tightly to her chest and prayed.

Only with a loud clash of the chamber door opening did the fear return. With eyes predatory and blonde hair raging the prince paced, stopping shortly as he raised his blades sharp tip to the princess neck.

Long had the prince dreamed of this moment. To take over the kingdom, to take over its people and to kill its precious princess.
The warm blood which was spilt was worth it all, as he finally set out to accomplish his task of brutally slaughtering the precious princess, whom everyone adored.
