The quirkless arrow

Chapter 7 - Defeat

Bleeding, bruised and beaten. That is what Izuku feels both physicaly and mentally, not only did he fail to rescue Oliver, he didnt even come close and to top it all off, he almost died in the process.
No amount of training could have prepared him to take out that many people by himself.

Thousands of thoughts and regrets flowed through Izuku's mind at the moment, pain , anger, fear and many more emotions were felt and released as a series of mumbling.

Hey!

Izuku jerked and came back to reality as if a curse was lifted from him as he heard the flash call out to him.
"Hey....hey..." you okay? Izuku was still breathing heavily but was otherwise fine, he then nodded as he stood himself up despite being still a bit dizzy. Flash saw this and held Izuku's shoulders to make him stand steady." Whoah whoah take it easy Izuku"
"you know who I am?"Izuku asked as he was confused.
"Yeah im a friend of Oliver's"
The instant he heard Oliver's name, he was immediately reminded of why he was there in the first place and once again returned to a pinicked state.
"Oliver!...thats right....they still have him !" He said as he tried to limply drag himself back to the building.
" I have to rescue him....."

"Whoah hey ! You almost got killed back there!......and now you want to go back?"

"Im the only one who can........." izuku then drops to the ground as he faints from anemia.

Flash then walks to Izuku preparing to carry him back to the base.
"Sheesh quite the kid you raised here Oliver" he said before rushing him back as fast as he could.

-Meanwhile-

"Listen, mr. Queen we dont need much we only want the place and person you intrusted the child to"
A man wearing a midieval doctor mask was interrogating Oliver.

"Heh...you expect me to tell you?"

The masked man looked disappointed as he snapped his fingers.

Ahhhhhhgggggggg!!! " Oliver tried to hildback his scream as the electric chair was turned on. Panting heavily, Oliver retorted back "heh Ive had better torture sessions than this you know?"

The masked man walked behind Oliver "That little girl holds a very special power, a power that I need so please Mr.Queen, just tell me and we'll let you go"

"You think ill fall for that?.....youre under estimating my mentality here.."
Oliver then looked at him directly in the eyes and said "When I get out of here of here, and I will, youre gonna get a face full of arrows".

Seeing that this interogation was going nowhere, the masked man decided to end the session for the the day and made his way to door "Oh by the way, a small arrow paid us a visit today, an apprentice maybe?" He said as he walked out the room.

Oliver immediately knew it was Izuku
Roy would'nt make suck a rookie mistake "that Idiot"

-The arrow cave-

Everything was hazy as Izuku opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was an IV pack hanging directly above him,
"Am I in the hospital?....no that doesnt make sense.." Izuku slowly sat himself up as he was getting back into full consciousness, not thing felt right at the moment, both mentaly and phisically, everything was now ten times more painfull as adrenaline has left his body, Izuku looked up and remembered what flash said to him
"He was right I almost died back there, and to top it all off, the enemy now knows that we have their location.....im an idiot"

"Well at least youre right about something today" Izuku instantly puts his attention on the man walking to him. "Diggle....." Izuku looked down as if looking for words to say, but bone came and all he could do was stay silent.
"What you did back there was very stupid young man, not only did you compromise your safety but Oliver's as well.....you know that right? Youre a smart kid.."

Izuku gritted his teeth as the mistakes he realized earlier were made clear to him. His eyes clinched as tears flow from them " I-im sorry, I was s-stupid, I couldn't hold back my emotions and
I----I endangered Oliver even more"
Izuku tried to apologized as clearly as he could but tears kept flowing more and more making it harder to speak.

They both waited for Izuku to calm down a little so he could speak clearer
"I just wanted to rescue him so badly....that ...that I couldnt stop myself from going there even though deep down I knew I couldnt do it." Izuku then wipes his tears as he looks at diggle in the most determined way.
"Im sorry, It wont happen again.."

"Looks like there was no need for me to scold you, the beating already did that for me" diggle smiled as he leaned down to izuku's eye level "emotions are powerful but the way you used them were like shackels, they hold you back" diggle then pointed at Izuku's chest " but when you keep all here, that's when you make a powerful weapon."

Izuku noded as he saw diggle in a new light, looks like he had more than one teacher here. Today was a day for lectures and scolding after all, although the talk with diggle ended quite fast.

Speaking of fast...
"diggle where's the flash?"

"Oh he left a while ago, technically we he wasn't supposed to be there at all, but we had no choice but to call him"
Izuku couldnt believe he met flash; the fastest man alive who is believed to be faster that even all might himself. Which reminded Izuku.

"why did he know my name "

"Well Oliver and him go wayback, that's all I can tell you for now"

Izuku was surprized that a vigillante like Oliver would be friends with a hero like flash.
"But right now, i want you to prepare your self for quite a scolding cuz unless im mistaken i think that's laurels car outside" diggle said as he was looking at the monitors.

"Oh no" was all Izuku could think of
"Dont worry youll get a hug after wards but for now you gotta steel youre self.

Izuku then swallowed as he awaited the hell that was about to be unleashed. "H-here we go"

That to so long (as expected )

But yey I did it (go me!!)
