I'm weak to do most things, but strong enough that I was able to leave the hospital. I'm too weak to eat and I could barely shower. I'm exhausted still and I'm most likely going to be for the next few days.
I lay on Mason's chest and he holds me tight, not wanting to let go. I don't mind it at all. He kisses my forehead and begins to mess with my hair.
"Why?" I hear him whisper.
I don't need to ask what he's talking about. I know he's asking me why I attempted to kill myself. I feel bad, I can't imagine how he felt. I feel selfish for trying to end it all, but I couldn't help it. It's always been there, lingering, then jumps out of nowhere and reminds me of everything.
"I'm leaving Axlit, I'm losing the person I love, and I lost my family. You know what I've been through. I just couldn't take it anymore." I say.
"Your family?" He looks at me, curious as to what I meant.
"They found out. I wouldn't tell them who gave me the hickies, so they looked at the security cameras. They disowned me. They don't want me back." I can hear my voice cracking as I choke back tears.
"I'm sorry. I should have been more careful. I love you, and you can live with me until you have to leave." He smiles.
"I don't want to leave." I choke on more tears.
"It's all gonna be okay. We have each other for now. It'll get better." He says.
I look up at him, his smile unsure but in a way, reassuring. I smile back and press my forehead against his. Our lips are barely touching for a few seconds, then we both kiss. For the first time in awhile, I knew everything was gonna be okay, and I just have to go with the flow.
I wake up still cuddled with Mason and catch him smiling and staring at me. I smile back and run my hand through his hair.
"How long have you been up?" I ask.
"Not that long, but long enough to know you had a good dream." He winks.
He's not wrong. I guess I talk in my sleep, or at least smile for him to know what it was about.
"How about I make some of that dream a reality?" He smirks before kissing my neck.
I'm still too weak to do much, but I'm way stronger than I was yesterday. Mason must know this because he slowly removes both of our clothes and gently toys with me.
He does this until I ask him for more and then his motions become faster. I'm not sure why he's so good, but the feeling is so pleasing. I'm about to finish and Mason catches this, quickly stopping and then sitting up. I moan, wanting more and wanting to finish. Mason loves teasing me and I hate it.
My desire to finish is strong. I grab Mason and kiss him roughly moaning and begging for him to finish what he started. He keeps kissing me but slowly makes his way down. He begins sucking and it sends a shiver down up my spine. I bend my legs and spread them as wide as possible, feeling his tongue move around. I hold his head and move my own to look up at the ceiling. I moan continuously and pant until I'm done.
I allow my limbs to fall and Mason collapses on top of me, breathing heavily. I don't know how, but he's good at what he does.
Most of the day is spent lying around, watching tv and making out. I get a text from Tess telling me to come over. She's worried about me and doesn't know anything. I have to explain it to her without freaking her out, but how?
Mason and I make it back to the ranch and meet Tess outside. Tess is happy to see both of us, but she's still worries about what happened.
I explain to her that mom and dad figured out and disowned me. That they never want to see me again. That I'm moving and I have to leave her and Mason. That I tried to kill myself and Mason saved me.
"Mom and dad won't be home for another hour or two. I'll help you get your stuff so you can live with Mason. I'll call my friend and ask for a sleepover." She says as we walk inside.
"Tessa, I know you're mad at mom and dad, but you can't run away. You'll scare them." I tell her.
"I don't want to see them if they don't want to see you." She says.
"But you have to. For me. So we can both be safe. I'll come back and visit when they're not home, I promise. We can video chat and call every night when I move." I explain.
"Promise?" I can see the tears in her eyes.
"I promise." I smile.
Tessa starts crying and hugs me. I'm able to calm her down and we all pack my stuff. I give her another hug and smile.
"This won't be the last time I see you. Just know that I love you. Stay safe kiddo." I kiss her forehead and get into the car.
Mason stays behind and gives her a hug as well. She starts crying again and he gently lifts her chin up and smiles.
"I love your brother and I'll protect him. I promise. Stay safe and enjoy summer. I'll see you in class." He reassures her.
They hug again and Mason returns to the car. We wave at her and drive away. It kills me to leave my little sister behind like this. She's strong and she can defend herself, and I know Mason will back her up if it's ever needed.
For now, we've all got to get through this until more changes can be made. My plan is to move Mason and Tessa out here in the future or move back. It's a promise I intend to keep.
