Discovery: The Power Within

Chapter 2: The Agency

I awoke with a pounding headache from the injury on the back of my head from where agent Jeffery had hit me. It was dark. I tried to sit up and hit my head on something as my eyes became accustomed to the dark I realised I was in a coffin.
I heard a bang on the top of the coffin then some scraping noises I was terrified. Then the lid was wrenched off and I saw agent Jeffery's face. I sighed in relief.
"Out of curiosity" I asked "what is the name of your female version?"
He laughed "so I kill you for a week and when I get you out of this coffin saving your life this is the first thing you ask?"
"Well thanks I guess but I still want to know her name" I replied
"It's Jessica" he said.
"Ok" I said and smiled. The realised what he had said "Wait I was dead for a week!"
"Yes" he calmly replied "The life you are entering can be extremely dangerous you might not even survive the training let alone the tasks you will be set afterwards"
I sighed "Well whats next how do we get to the agency?" His smile turned my (already frozen) blood to ice.
"We fall" he said. As he said those words the ground underneath us cracked then split open engulfing us...

I hit the ground with a thud that knocked the air out of my lungs. I looked up at the blindingly white marble ceiling and thought to myself "wtf am I doing with my life" and pulled myself off of the ground and started to take in my surroundings. The entirety of what I assumed was the agency was covered in mat back walls with red out lines out line the doors and the edges of the walls. With blindingly white marble ceeling like I had previously noticed.

"Welcome to the agency" said agent Jeffery "This is our HQ it accessible from all 4 corners of the world."

"Tenically the world does-"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!!" Interrupted agent Jeffery.
"Ok sorry" I said a little taken aback by the out burst. "So how big is the agency?" I asked looking around at the kind of bleak surroundings.

"How big do you think it is" he said smirking.
"I think it's alot bigger then we can see"
"Hahahaha. Well your not wrong" he said laughing "more accurately it is 40,000 square miles".

I gawked "40... fucking hell its big"

"yes. yes it is" he said looking around at the surrounding black walls with pride. "Anyway its about time you met your teacher." he smiled and whistled.

What looked like a massive snow leopard came charging through one of the outlined doorways. It stoped just infront of both me and agent jeffery. And right before my eyes it began to morph...
