Keith awoke to a warmth wrapped around his waist and something pressed against his back. The sun filtering through the blinds and onto his face made him wince. He had no recollection of what happened the previous night. He looked down and noticed he was wearing a familiar looking blue and white baseball tee. He heard a grunt as he sat up on his hands. He looked at the figure and widened his eyes slightly. There sat the last person he expected to see in his bed asleep shirtless.
"Oh god..this can't be real.." Keith muttered softly and rubbed his face.
Keith jumped as the male wrapped his arms around Keith's waist and groaned.
"Do you have any pain killers babe" The male groggily said, making Keith's heart flutter a bit. He bit his lip and looked around before gently pushing the male off of him.
" We're not together Lance..I'm with shiro you know this.." Lance sat up and rubbed his face before looking at Keith.
"That's not what you told me last night..You said you were in love with me and shiro was just to mask your feelings for me." lance cracked a grin " then you took me to your room and we-" Keith cut him off
"Yeah yeah.. but it didn't mean anything. I was drunk Lance and didn't know what I was doing. I.. don't love you Lance.." Lance felt his heart break as he bit his lip before getting up and silently put on his pants and boxers and looked at Keith,smiling slightly at him.
"Sorry for misunderstanding. I hope you and Shiro have a wonderful relationship and i hope this doesn't cause problems between you two." Lance grabbed the rest of his things and walked out of Keith's house with tears in his eyes,getting in his car to drive home
Lance had been in love with Keith for a very long time, and had hoped Keith felt the same. Hearing Keith say he didn't love him simply broke him. He started to drive towards his apartment. He pulled over on the side of the highway and started to sob into his steering wheel.
"Who could ever love someone like me..I'm not good enough for anyone.."
Keith stared at the door as he clutched lance's shirt that he still had on. He knew he was a little hard on lance but he didn't want to ruin what he had with Shiro. He looked at his phone and debated whether or not to call Lance. He sighed before getting up to go on with his day and mumbled
''I'm sure he'll be fine"
