(today the runners have a day off because of the new greenie. so that's why Thomas and Minho are in the glade and not in the maze!!)
YOU POV
you wake up in a room. you slowly sit up to see you are alone. you replayed the events of this morning in your head. you get out of the bed you are laying in and look around the room. you see a bunch of medical looking stuff, so you figure its like a doctors hut. you start to hear voices. it sounds like they are walking toward the hut you are in. you look out the window trying not to be seen. it the same boys you saw before. they stopped maybe ten feet from the door talking, but you heard every word.
"newt, whats all this mean? we've never got a girl before" the one of the boys said.
"I don't know Minho. i don't know." the boy responded. you figure that must be newt, and the other Minho.
"I don't have the best feeling about it guys" the boy with green eyes said. you remembered meeting him this morning and found yourself smiling.
"I don't either gally,but what are we gonna do let the bloody grievers eat her." newt replied. this comment made you feel unwanted and sad. before you know it you start having a panic attack. you look around for a place to run and hide. you found an opening in the walls surrounding this place. they called the glade. you open the door without any noise.
then you bolt, running as fast as your legs would carry you. after about 3 seconds you heard the boys yelling at you to stop. you looked behide you, two of them hot on your trail. you try to push yourself harder so they couldn't catch you.
you make it to the opening. you start taking random turns, but memorizing your every move so you knew how to get back if needed.
you slow to a holt. convinced you lost the two boys. you leaned against a wall for a short break. before you knew it the tears were streaming down your face. you had so many questions, "why were you here? who put you here? who were you? and why were you the only girl?"
you knew you couldn't stop for long or they would find you. you started walking further and further away from the glade. after a while you guessed this place was like a maze of some sort. you started replaying the turns in your head.
right, right, left, straight, left. at this point you had been walking for hours. your legs felt like jelly but, you knew you had to keep going. so even thou you wanted to stop you only pushed yourself harder.
you were all most to another turn when you heard something behide you. you turned to see it was one of the boys. he was tall with short brown hair. the fear started to rise as he ran toward you. you tried to run but you were so exhausted you tripped crashing into the wall beside you.
soon the boy was at your side.
"greenie, what the hell are you thinking? your gonna get yourself killed on the first day." he kinda yelled at you.
you were fighting off tears, " maybe if you guys watched what you say none of this would of happened.!!" you yelled back at him. the tears started to roll down your face.
"greenie, I-I'm sorry for yelling at you." he said with a look of sadness on his face.
he pulled you into a hug. inside you were alittle shocked he was just yelling at you and now he's hugging you.
after a moment you spoke through your tear.
"why, why can I remember?" it was all you could say.
THOMAS POV
"greenie, what the hell are you thinking? your gonna get yourself killed on the first day here." I yelled at her. I was mad cause today was supposed to be my day off. A day not full of running.
I could tell she was fighting off tears, " may if you guys watched what you say none of this would of happened.!!" she yelled back. the tears started to roll down her face. I felt so bad for yelling at her. its like I already have a soft spot for her.
"greenie, I-I'm sorry for yelling at you." i said with a look of sadness on my face.
i pulled her into a hug.
YOUR POV
"we should probley get back and they we can answer all your questions, ok? he said wiping away your tears. you nods and you both started walking back.
"greenie, umm I'm Thomas." he said kinda shyly.
you smiled and we started talking more. a while later we met up with Minho.
"hey Thomas, we should make greenie here a runner. she's got the speed." Minho said.
"whats a runner? " you asked
"well its running in the maze, trying to find some way out." Thomas answered.
"only the best of the best gladers are runner." Minho added with pride.
"that's why their are only two of us right now." Thomas added
we walked the rest of the way talking and laughing. you were starting to like these too boys, in a big brother kinda way. you asked more questions about the maze and being a runner. and the more they told me the more you wanted to be one. we were only three turns away from the glade.
"the suns fading." it was a statement to myself but Thomas and Minho still heard it. they stopped looking at the sky.
"shit, we gotta go guys." Thomas yelled picking up his speed.
we all bolted fast as we could. the guys explained how we didn't wanna be out here at night.
NEWTS POV
after the new greenie run off into the maze. me and gally unloaded the supplies boxes. I found a folded note addressed to me.
it said "newt, we know you have many questions but she is your sister. from wicked"
I quickly showed gally not believing what I was reading. I've had dreams about having a sister but thought it was just a bloody dream not a memory. and now, now I really have a little sister. we decided we were going to keep this a secret. we will tell her when she is ready to know.
***time skip***
me and gally were waiting by the maze doors.
"how could we be so bloody stupid. she heard us and, now she feels like we don't want her." I said pacing the maze doors. I blamed myself for the whole thing. I find out I have a sister and now she's probably lost in the maze. AND ITS ALL MY FAULT!
"newt, NEWT buddy you gotta see this" gally said in a panicked but happy tone. I looked up to see Thomas and Minho, followed by my sister. I wanted to run to her and explain everything. but my happiness was ruined by the sound of the maze beginning to close. panic rose within me. I started yelling telling them to hurry up. I couldn't lose her again, I just got her back. she was the only family I had left.
a moment later me and gally were joined by a larger group of gladers all yelling words of encouragement.
all I could think was "please make it."
GALLY POV
all day, the only thing I could about was her. her e/c eyes and her h/c hair. just her. I was gonna talk to newt about it but then we found this letter addressed to him saying that she was his sister.
after that there was no way I was gonna walk up and say "hey newt, by the way, i've been daydreaming about your sister all day."
I like my life on the outside of the pit.
***time skip***
the maze doors were closing, I could see her running at her top speed but I didn't know if she would make it.
and in seconds it all happened.
