Headache. It was the first day of school. I wasn't sure of going. Thinking of those Honor's section bullies, i wish i have just kept myself low. My girlfriend, freedom from pressures, cutting classes, countless absences.. the list goes on. These were the things bugging off my mind that day. Things that i will miss.
Sigh. "Did i really made my life harder?", asking this question i found myself in a line of unfamiliar faces listening to a teacher.
"From this day on, this will be your room for the rest of the school year and those faces will be your classmates" the speaker said.
My eyes roamed the entire room. This was exactly what i had expected. a group of people knowing nothing but to run for honors and read books. Just looking at them, I wondered how boring the coming year might be. Not feeling the first day vibe, i went outside to look for something that might interest me.
"How was it?" a text message from Sophie, my girlfriend. We were on our 5th month, it was a relief to receive this from her. This set up will be complicated for us. Having different schedules and less time with each other, i know things will be different for us now.
The day went on, subject requirements were given and rules were stated.
"Hi, I am Aldrin. I came from the 8th section last year. I'm glad to meet all of you." the exact words i told the class when i was ask to introduce myself. I must admit, these people are warm. It was not hard adjusting on them even on the first day.
taking my seat, I was surprised to find a folded piece of paper on the top of desk. It was a letter.
Aldrin,

PS. thanks for looking and being nice. =)

a smile was found in my face that afternoon. i was excited not knowing why, but i was. Having no idea what this year will bring me, one thing is certain: something special is about to start.
