malanie's P.O.V
"good morning" i said as i walk down stairs to where oscar and cesar were.
"good morning mal" cesar said
"morning princesa" oscar then says
it was 9:54 and oscar already got me all excited. 'i think i'm starting to like oscar maybe i don't even like him, maybe i just find him attractive' i think to myself getting milk from the fridge to make cereal. i was sit down eating my cereal when oscar walked into the kitchen. "you still wanna go to the mall today" he asks me nicely. i reply " if you don't mind" i said eating another spoonful of my cereal. "okay we'll go at 2 then is that good?"
"bet" i said. he then comes up to me " i gotta go do something, i'll be home by 1" he says kissing my cheek. i smile at him "okay" i say and head to the sink to wash the dishes. once i was done i made my way upstairs to get ready.
i got changed (outfit in begging in chapter) and put on some bronzer, highlighter, mascara and some winged eyeliner. by the time i was done it 12 and i still had 2 hours to spare. i walk to cesar's room and call out his name.
"yea" he says
"can i come in?" i reply. with out an answer he opened his bed room door and i walked in and sat on his bed " wanna do something?" i say
"wanna meet my friends?"
"uhm... yes!" i say knowing that even though we probably won't see each other a lot in school it's always good to know at least someone. "let's go then" he says grabbing my hand and walking down the stairs, into the living room and out the front door. i followed him until we reached a house that 2 little kids that seem to be twins were running around their front yard. i slightly smiled, wishing i was still that young. we walked up to the front door. it was opened by a short kid with tan skin and nice hair. "hey cesar" he says not paying attention to me. he then turns his head towards me i saw his mouth slightly open more. "hi" i say he smiles "i'm malanie" i say "ruby. i mean ruben, i go by ruben" i giggled "okay ruben" i said jokingly "nice to meet you"
"didnt know you changed your name " cesar says in a confused like way.
"and you too" ruby says ignoring cesar's comment i laughed as he welcomed into his home. i also met jamal while i was there , he was really funny and adorable. he kept talking about roller world and he kept on getting mad when people would put him down when they said it wasn't real. i then got a call from
"👻" it was spooky

m- hello
o- mal where are you and cesar
m- at his friend ruben house. are you home?
o-you mean ruby never heard anyone call him ruben.
i giggled
o- but yea i'm home. so i'll be there in 15 minutes
m-okay
he hung up

i turn to cesar " your brothers gonna pick me up in 15 minutes, we're gonna go to the mall, do you want to come?"
"naw, imma just stay here" he says and i nod my head and wait for his call
