My father's words made me worry. What it they are trying to kill my father, or ruin the company, or trying to replicate the serum in the viles
"how will we find them?"
I asked my dad
"we will do background checks on every one. We will also have to question the others."
He paused for a moment
"eren please tell me that you are not one of the spies"
I looked at him shocked
"dad, i have everything i need and want here with you i have no reason to harm you and no one else has anything to offer me"
he physically relaxed and smiled at me "good, then eren you are the only one that knows about this, you will have to stay over night in my office to protect the files of you and the others."
I nodded
"what do I tell levi?"
I asked him
"tell him you are going to start working later and you will be with me and probably just come and stay at home" he explained it makes sense. Dads place is closer to here than mine and if I'm working late I dont want to travel far. "Alright will do"
I wonder if it's a good idea to keep lying to Levi I'm just glad that he hasnt caught on yet.
I wonder what he does when I'm not there.
well i cant expect his life to revolve around me either.
It's quite strange that we have only known each other for less than a month but I do feel something for him, then again we are destined for each other as mates. I'm sure it wont take long for him to see that I'm keeping something from him. He always seemed sharp.
I look at my dad
"I'll call him later and tell him"
he looked at me worried

"By the end of the week I will probably have at least annie figured out if one of then is safe to trust"
His face relaxes and he responds
"fair enough tell him and make sure that he doesn't interfere. And if he whines about not earning money we can give him a paid leave"
I nodded I start heading back into the training room and think to my self how distant levi and I are.
I do feel a connection with him but I barely know anything about him like what he did before dad and I hired. Who was his family.
We have barely even kissed, made out, slept in the same bed, had sex.
We are missing out on so many things couples do because of work....
I have to make sure annie is on our side by tomorrow. Levi and I are going to have a date night and nothing will get in our way.

~time skip to after training ~

Training is over and I maid it blatantly obvious that I'm watching annie with a close eye. She took notice an hour after I began and now that training is over she stops to confront me about it us being the last ones in the meeting room berthold and riner had left to get back to work and dad left not long after our discussion she walks out and I walk after her. She suddenly stood and I do as well she shoves me back "ok what the fuck do you want" she said through gritted teeth and an angry face, "there is something rather interesting happening in this building and you could be the center of it."
I say calmly staring her down.
She crosses her arms "I don't know what you are talking about" she said in a sassy way leaning her weight onto one leg
"I'm saying I think you are compromising against us"
I say copying her actions and leaning on my left leg "
She undoes her arms and stands fully on both feet
"why the hell would you think that?!?"
She yells at me clenching her fists at her sides shoulders raised and teeth bared. Her scent peaks and turns sour and thick almost unbearable ,but I power through "well someone is planning a raid in here. Their plans were overheard. a voice if a man and a woman unidentified. Attack planned for all of our information on our group by the end of this week "
I said waving my hand nonchalantly
"and why would that woman be me?" she asks angry and confused
"well why wouldn't it be they could offer you immunity to the attack and other benefits, money, power, a safe place for mikasa guarded. So many things to persuade you with"
I say walking across to lean on our table
"they could but I wouldnt take it. Eren we are friends i have all the money we need. The power came from you guys! And this is the safest place for mikasa, not just because there is security here but because we are here and we both love her very much and would protect her with our lives!"
She pants a bit wipes her sweat and stares into my eyes
"whoever you think that woman is it isnt me I would never betray you guys. I trust you... you and the others along with kasa are my only family now"
she sead a bit teary and slumped shoulders I move towards her releasing a calming scent soft and smooth I hug her
"I knew it couldn't be you but dad wants me to interrogate all of you"
I push her off of my chest and hold her shoulders looking into her eyes
"now I can fill you in on everything"

~another time skipp to a random time late afternoon~

Hey eren how are you at work? Every thing alright?

Eren
Yeah everything is fine. How are you doing?
