31: "That seems impossible!"

Chapter 31: "That seems impossible!"

(AVERY'S POINT OF VIEW)

Today around noon we left for Alton Towers Resort. And honestly, I was excited. It was about a three hour drive, and with all of us in the car, time passed really quickly. We played dumb car ride games, and talked about lots of stuff. Like, what we would do when we got there.

Once we did, we checked in to our rooms at the Alton Towers hotel. The hotel had a spa in it, and I planned on going there at LEAST once. The resort was huge, and the theme park was close by. They also had a waterpark, and we were going there too! I wasn't sure how long we'd be here, but I hoped for a long time.

Then I got an idea.

"Niall?" I asked trying to get his attention.

"Yeah baby?" He turned to me.

"Nina and Dorinda!!" I said excitedly.

"What about them?" He asked.

"We can ask them to come!"

"Avie, I know we have extra room but, do you really want them here?"

"OF COURSE!! They're our best friends! Why wouldn't I?"

"I-I don't know. Invite them, what the hell." He laughed and shook it off.

I turned to my sister and squealed. We were jumping up and down, excited. Then I pulled out my phone and texted them:

Doe and Nina:

'Hey guys!!! Exciting news! We're at Alton towers with the boys, and you can come! Get your asses down here, and party! We need to catch up.'

A few minutes later, they responded.

Aves:

'Girl, we're together right now, we'll pack and get down there as soon as possible!! Omgggg this'll be amazing! :D'

I set my phone down on the table beside me and prepared myself. My two best friends were coming to join my other best friends, my sister, and my boyfriend and I. How amazing of a vacation this will be.

The next day I had a doctor's appointment, so I had our driver drive me back to the flat. I grabbed everything I needed, and went to his office.

On my way to the office, I was getting anxious. I could find out the sex of the baby in about a month, and I kinda wanted to know.

Once I got there, I signed into the desk, and took a seat. A few minutes later, my name was called by a nurse.

"Avery Samuels?" The nurse was wearing a pink uniform and she took me back to room 3.

I waited for about three minutes, and then Dr. Lofton was there to see me.

"Well, hello Avery. You're pretty young, am I right?" He asked.

I laughed a little and replied, "Yes, I am. But Doctor, I think I'm pregnant. At least that's what the pregnancy test showed me."

His eyes bugged out a little, and he went to the counter.

"What we're going to do, is see if there is a baby in there. Have you been having symptoms of pregnancy?" He asked.

"Yes. I had morning sickness once or twice, I missed my period a few days ago, and my breasts are sore all the time. It seems like the test was correct to me."

"Well, let's have a look. Lift up your shirt and we'll try an ultrasound."

The doctor squeezed the gel on my stomach and used his tool that was hooked up to the monitor to look for any signs of a baby. I watched the screen and was amazed. This is so cool!

After a few moments, he took the tool off my stomach and took his gloves off.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Avery, I'm afraid there's no baby." He said, his back turned to me.

"What are you talking about? I had all the signs!" I said, bewildered.

"What you have had is possibly a hysterical pregnancy. And the test may have been shown some sort of sign that made it think you were pregnant but you're not."

"What?! What's a hysterical pregnancy?" I had never heard of it.

"It's where your body shows you signs of pregnancy. Maybe so much as to where you wanted it so bad that it was willing to give you all the symptoms." He told me.

"That seems impossible!" I said.

"It's not. You're not pregnant, Avery." He said throwing his gloves away, and cleaning off my stomach.

In a way, this should have been a relief to me. I should be totally excited and happy. But, I didn't know if I was. I had gotten so comfortable with the thought of having a baby that I was welcoming it. Now, I didn't know what to do. A hysterical pregnancy? I didn't even know it was possible. What was I going to tell they boys? Amanda? Anyone?

Well I guess now I was free to ride roller coasters and drink alcohol.

I left the doctor's office and went to my flat. I grabbed anything I forgot and made the driver take me back to the resort. On the way up, I planned my speech on how I would tell the news to everyone.

Guys, I hope you're happy!! Avery isn't pregnant, and Christian is completely and totally out of their lives. No connections to them anymore!

How's that? Lol

Well, I've got news.

I published my first part of my new story a few minutes ago, and I hope you'll all read it!
