Thank goodness he's gone. Now I need to sort this mess out, and this is not a small mess. In fact this is almost a catastrophe. First things first, I should ring Hailey. I went back into my room, shuddering as I sat on my bed at the thought of what happened last night. Taking my phone out, i hesitated for a moment before pressing diall on Hailey's contact.

"Umph." Oops, looks like I woke her up.

"Sorreeee, did I wake you up?" I asked, hoping I wasn't starting a difficult conversation on a bad note.

"Well sort of, I was half awake anyway, it's ok" She sounded happy, phew. "So, Kayla, how are you after last night?"

Straight to the point then. Ok, no crying this time. I could feel a lump in my throat, I need to get this over with.

"I'm, uh, ok I guess."

"Only ok? But you were having a great time with Mr Cute as you called him, weren't you?"

Wow, this is going a lot like the conversation with Elsa.

"Yeah, about that, I have a confession to make" I started confidently so continued before Hailey could react. "That guy was actually Luke Hemmings" I whispered the last part, afraid of what Hailey would say.

Much to my relief, Hailey was more shocked than angry. She just kept muttering "How?", whilst I apologised repeadetly for stealing him. Not that Luke was actually hers, but still, we were quite protective over our faves so I felt I should say sorry. Once Hailey had recovered from her shock, I told her the story of how I discovered what I had previously thought was a nice guy, was in fact Luke Hemmings. She laughed at me finding the clothes on the floor, and then at my slick dimples comment.

I decided not to tell Hailey about Ashton until a) we were all together with Elsa and b) I had sorted out this whole thing with Ashton, if it could even be sorted.

After Hailey had managed to assure me she wasn't angry, I hung up with the feeling a weight had been lifted from my shoulders. However, this mess was far from fixed. Next on my list was Ashton, oh god. It was such a stupid argument. I mean seriously, I cheated on him for stacking the dishwasher incorrectly. It just escalated into a full scale argument about anything that had annoyed each other over the last four months. I'm terrible at arguments, I can never bring myself to say anything. I just stand there getting yelled at, occaisionally making stupid comments that make the whole thing worse then just saying sorry loads. I had tears running down my face when I stormed upstairs and organised the night out with Hailey and Elsa out of anger. I was out for revenge.

*Lukes POV*

I sulked out of Kayla's appartment, dragging my feet and looking back wistfully just in case she was watching me, to make it believable.  That was fun. Should I have done it? No. Will Ash be mad? Yeah. Do I regret anything? No. I took my phone out of the pocket of my jeans, sliding my finger across the screen and entering the 4 digit code to unlock it. 6 unread messages. Ah yeah, the guys have no idea where I am. Shit. I just left the house for a 'walk' at about 8 and never came back. Oops. I tapped the messages icon to make the messages appear. Turns out all 6 aren't from the guys. 1 is from. Damn. I forgot to send her my usual goodnight text. I'm a long way from home a lot of the time, she worries about me and I do miss her. Don't tell the boys that, I'll never hear the end of it, despite the fact we all get homesick. It's just not something we talk about, we don't do feelings and  serious stuff. I quickly typed out a message promising to call her later, then looked at the rest of the texts.

Mikey [1]

Cal - Pal [1]

New guy ;) [3]

Shit. I hope Ashton isn't angry. I went for the safest option first, selecting Calum.

8:56pm: Where are you dude? You're missing the cereal party!

Aw no, cereal parties are my favourite - after breakfast burritos.

Now onto Mike.

10:02pm: wHere aRe yoU? Can you bring pizza when you come back?

Typical. I go missing and they text me about food. I mean really, I could've been attacked by a giant spider or anything. I guess I better look at what Ashton sent me. What will I do if he suspects something? Oh wait, he can't. He has no idea.

8:07pm: hi mate, can we talk when you get back? Things are sort of bad with Kayla.

9:16pm: um, I guess you went for a long walk, could really do with a chat mate.

12:32am: doesn't look like you're coming home tonight, have fun

Ohh, Ash seemed upset. As he would, Kayla told me everything in bed last night. Maybe I did make a bit of a dick move. I broke the rule too; bro's before ho's. I should've been there.

Crap, where am I? Shoving my phone into my back pocket, I looked around and discovered I was in the park halway back to the lad pad. I sat down on a bench by the side of the path. As I sat down, both knees poked through the growing rips in my black skinny jeans. I leant forward, resting my head on hands, then ran my fingers through my hair, which was a tangled mess, clumps stuck together with day-old hair gel. Oops, I'm sitting on my phone. As  I slid it out of the pocket, a crumpled corner of a piece of paper. It dropped onto the damp grass under the bench, so I bent forwards to pick it up. The ink had run a little because of the dew on the grass, but I could just about read it:

cute guy at the club

4. Have a one night stand with said cute guy.

Oh. This must have been Kayla's game plan for last night. I vaguely remember her telling me, her voice slurred, about it at some point when we were walking back to her appartment. Well, I had to carry her most of the way because she couldn't walk in straight line at all, she just tripped in those stupid silver heels every 3 steps. She liked that though, kept giggling about how I whisking her away into the sunset, or carrying her bridal style...something like that. After that she just kept mumbling about how I was taken, she kept saying the name Hailey. Not going to lie, that was wierd. I recognise that name from somewhere though.  Wait. Cute guy. One night stand. Shit. She was so using me. I'm not even sure she recognised me until this morning. When she told me to leave.

I can't do this any more. Those two are a mess. I've gone and made it so much worse.

I looked up in dispair, and noticed the sky had turned a dark shade of grey. It's going to rain.

Making a split second decision, I unlocked my phone and tapped call.

Pick up. Pick up. Pleaassseeee.

"What?"

She's pissed, of course.

"Kay, we need to talk."

"Don't you dare 'Kay' me, it's Kayla thank you very much. Only friends can call me Kay."

"Okay, Kayla then, sorry. Please listen."

"There's nothing to say, we fucked last night. You are the only person that knows about  me and Ashton and you slept with me. How could you?"

This was such a bad idea. She's broken.

"We didn't" I half whispered, attempting to interrupt her rant.

"I mean seriously, I trusted you like a - wait, what?" Suddenly there was a stunned silence.

"You heard me, I didn't sleep with you."

More silence.

"Kayla, it was all a joke. I would never do that to you. You won't remember this but you broke down last night.. I was in a stupid mood, I pulled a prank. I put the clothes on the floor to scare you. I may be a dick, but I promise I would never let you cheat on Ashton, especially with me."
