There stood a little Noko with her arms crossed over her chest as she looked around the underground city. Her long brown hair falling over her shoulders and her white wings folded behind her. Husky blue eyes shining, longing for the truth of the surface. For nine years this little Noko has lived in this underground city and has never been to the surface. For nine years this little Noko has dreamed of going up to the surface and meeting a human, but the elders wouldn't let her. They told her that bad creatures lived among the humans, disguised to look just like them. They didn't want her to leave because they knew something she didn't.

"Mahina, there you are!" someone shouted before ramming right into Mahina's back making her topple over.

"Lune! How dare you!" Mahina shouted back. She stood back up turning towards Lune and shoving her as hard as possible. Lune stumbled a bit before landing with a loud thud on her butt. They both glared daggers at each other for a short moment before the two Nokos began laughing.

"Here, let me help you up," Mahina inquired putting her hand out for Lune to take.

"What's going on here?" someone mocked and both girls whipped their heads to face their friend.

"Oh, hey, Tuncay!" Lune shouted, "What's up?"

"Um- I believe that the city of humans is up," Tuncay said matter of factly.

Both Mahina and Lune rolled their eyes at their Nesh friend before they heard two familiar voices. Looking in the direction of the voices the three of them saw none other than Jericho and Kale. Tuncay waved the two over and shouted, "What took you guys so long?"

The two Neshs landed on the ground next to Lune and Tuncay.

"So, what did we miss?" Kale asked.

"Nothing much," Mahina waved him off, "But we should get going. We need to get to the education room," she finished.

Everyone nodded in agreement and took off towards the education room. They zoomed past familiar faces that scolded them for flying too fast before they had finally reached the education room. Mahina and the others landed on the flat surface, that was twelve stories up from the ground, and folded their wings behind their back. Walking over to the middle of the flat surface, they all sat down on the floor, undetected by the rambling elder.

Here, elders are the teachers. The elders never stopped talking about random things when it comes to education. They talked about things that weren't important to young minds. Like how we were created and about the battles that the Moon Children lost against the Sun Children. If we lost the battles, why waste your time explaining how weak your species is? It was this way all the time. Eventually, months in the education room turned into five years and three days. Three days before Mahina's fifteenth birthday.

Mahina and her friends all sat on the floor, with boredom written all over their faces. The five friends who were once young Nokos and Neshs are now older. They are now Nokomis and Naakeshs. They have been stuck in the same underground city that kept them away from the surface. Mahina has always dreamed of going to the surface to meet a human. She wanted a human friend to have. Mahina was just thinking about all the things she could do on the surface just before elder Hala, the educator, caught her attention.

"Mahina Aku? Are you paying attention? Tell me what I was just talking about," elder Hala inquired.

Elder Hala was a beautiful Nokomis with greyish white hair that reached her shoulders. Her dull blue eyes making her strict personality show. She had six wings. Three wings were light blue and silver, while the other three were white and light blue. She had brown demon horns that looked as if they were Maleficent's horns. Elder Hala wore a dull yellow skin tight dress that reached just above her knees with black tights underneath.
