All around the world, people find their hearts belonging to someone they wouldn't expect to love, either it being someone younger or older than you, a complete stranger, your family or siblings or even your best friend.

Love is strange you see, at times you don't even notice you love that person until it's too late... Or that you love that person so much it hurts but you don't want to confess thinking it may hurt the friendship you have with that person now.

It was the first year of college for two boys that have been best friends for almost nine years. Mark and Rex were their names and they were practically inseparable.

Rex was the quiet and uptight kind of boy. Ever since his girlfriend Ambrea died a year or so ago, he has been coldhearted and looked down upon girls. He spends most of his time in the library either reading or on his laptop adding a new chapter to one of his novels. He had only a few friends that included Mark. He had short purple hair with sparkling violet eyes. He usually wore glasses, dress shirts with ties and bows and had a great posture.

Mark on the other hand was the sporty, outgoing and bubbly type of guy. His parents were drug dealers when he was younger, selling his younger sister Grace as a sex slave to get more money. His parents were soon assassinated my gangsters and Mark went to save his sister. Doing so he almost died. He then met Rex, who then let him and his little sister live with him. His swore to protect his sister and only be there for her and her only. Which is why he had never dated a girl in his life. But soon his sister left wanting to live her own life leaving mark with Rex. On his free time mark would read, ride his skate board, or play some sports. He had short blood red hair with crystal blue eyes. He mainly wore T-shirts and shorts or jeans.

Mark would usually discipline Rex and treat him like a child sine Rex was always rude and uptight to people while always staying by Rex's side wherever he went. Rex would usually correct marks mistake either if they were verbal, emotional or physical since he was the smart one out of them both.

They both shared a college dorm with a boy named Jay. He was very spiritual and was a satanist. Mark thought it was amazing what spells Jay could do while Rex thought it was idiotic and immature. But they were all friends no matter how different they were.

It was the fourth month in their fury year in college. It was early in the morning and Marks alarm rung, notifying him in was time to get up and prepare for school.

Mark groaned slightly into his pillow as he opened his sleepy eyes and yawned softly. He looked at the alarm, pressing the button to make the annoying sound stop while he sat up. He never sets his alarm clock for the morning, making him guess Rex had probably done it.

"Damn it Rex..."

Mark mumbled to himself hike jumping off the top bunk of the bunk bed him and Rex shared. Rubbing the tiredness off his eyes he looked over at the bottom bunk seeing that the bed was made and Rex was no where to be seen justified that he had already left.

Mark then looked over at the other add of the room still seeing Jay sleeping heavily in his bed. Mark rolled his eyes and grabbed a pillow off of his bed, throwing at Jay hard to wake him

"Wakey wakey Jay.. You gotta get up."

Mark said with a slight chuckle as he put his daily clothes on that consisted of a Tony Hawk shirt and a pair of jean shorts.

Jay rolled over putting the pillow over his head

"Just...Just five more minutes mom.."

He said with his voice trailing off as he went into a deeper sleep.
