After talking to the principal together, we found that he had been a foster child too and that he was excited for us there. He was a real nice guy, he even put me and Kaeden in all classes together. His name was Principal Duvall. He was tall and lean, and his face was handsome. he had large aviator glasses and a mustache. His hair was a dark dusty brown and his eyes were green.

We walked into the hallway looking at our schedule.

Kaeden looked up at me as if something were wrong.

"What?" I said, looking him in the eye.

He looked behind me without a word and pointed to a group of about 12 boys my age, who were all staring with big eyes and looking, no, staring at me with big grins on their faces.

I looked back at Kaeden with worry in my eyes and slowly began walking toward my class and away from the group of boys.

"Kaeden, Walk slow and be quiet. Also, don't acknowledge them and maybe they'll go away." I said grasping his shoulders as we walked slowly away. Then the worst happened.

"Hey, new kids!" Some one called to us . Oh shit. I stopped still grasping Kaeden. I gave him a look to be quiet and let me handle it.

A tall skinny boy who was rather good looking who wore a black leather jacket over a white wifebeater and black skinny jeans with black and red high top Osiris shoes and a black and red SnapBack hat walked up to us.

"Hey, my name's Jason. My oh my... Just look at you. Where are you from?" He asked. I stayed silent, but he didn't seem phased.

"Look, I won't leave unless you answer me. I mean, actually it's pretty rude not to answer when someone is talking to you. So where you from?"

I decided to answer

"We are from Phoenix, Arizona recently, but now we live here. We now live with Margaret and Nathaniel Marcus." I said bluntly

"Oh!!! You guys are the two new fosters with the Marcus'! Alright, I know who you are now. Connor, right? God... They said you were alright, but I think they were wrong." He said looking me up and down.

"You know, that's really rude actually, so if you could please leave us alo-" I started

"You didn't even let me finish!!! I was going to say, they were wrong because you are much much more than 'alright'. You are like, really really gorgeous. Stunning, actually. I know for a fact that my breath has been taken away." He said, and I felt myself blush so I quickly looked down.

"Look that's sweet and all Jason, but we need to get going seeya." I quickly grasped Kaeden and pushed him so that we were walking faster away from this kid.

"Seriously? What about not getting attached?!" Kaeden yelled at me once we were in our first class, history.

"I'm not attached? What are you talking about?" I asked cluelessly

"Really? You blushed hardcore when that Jacob guy said you were pretty." He said tilting his head and getting an attitude.

"Jason... His name'a Jason.... And come on, blushing does NOT mean I'm attached." I replied.

"You remembered the kids name!" He said to me.

"Kaeden, I promise I'm not attached now sit down class is starting." I said to him as we say down and started class.

God, why must you taunt me with a good looking guy who likes me? Ugh. God I hope this school year won't be a deal breaker, cause I can't lose Kaeden. I just can't...
