I said I liked the ones
That exploded gold
And rained and shone
And at the very end
Sparkled silver
He said he liked the ones
That were thunderous
The ones that shook the windows
The ones you could feel
In your chest
The ones that lasted
The ones that nobody "ooh"ed or "ahh"ed
The ones that silenced the world
Until the next came
And everyone "ooh"ed
And everyone "ahh"ed
And the rupturing thunder
Was forgotten
