I ran out the door to the castle, already breathing heavily. I could hear the slap of footsteps and the clank of armor as the palace guardsmen chased after me. I made my way into the crowded city, weaving my way through the sea of loud people. I looked over my shoulder to see them struggling as they tried to push the fairy folk aside. I jumped into the back of a moving cart, hoping it would get me out of the reach of the guardsmen. I closed my eyes, steadying my breath, with a smirk thrown at the still struggling guardsmen. When I opened my eyes, they were flying over the crowd, getting closer by the second. I jumped off the cart and began sprinting through the people, pushing a few down in the process.

"Sorry!" I yelled behind me just as the large wooden doors that closed the kingdom from the other territories in Magia came into view. I unfurled my wings, shaking away any stiffness in them, and flew out of the doors, and over the lake that surrounds Alae. I reached the surrounding forest, thinking that I had lost them, but they were already half way across the lake! I sped up, flying through the forest, dodging trees and animals as I flew. I laughed as they stopped abruptly, having seemingly given up. Then, suddenly, my surroundings changed to a blur of purples and then everything went black, leaving a dull pain in my head.
