*Nine Years Ago*
"So... That's the next super Exorcist of the Fujiwara-family, huh~? And what is your name little one?" The older man asks the six year old standing proudly in front of her three parents.
One angel, one human male and one female who had more angel than anything human existing in her body.
"I'm Kazumi. And who are you?" The girl answers still standing her ground proudly but introducing herself properly and politely. Just like she had learned from baby steps on.
"Well, I am Shiro Fujimoto. And I'll be one of your teachers at the cram school for Exorcists." She bowed and then looked around fascinated.
The child coming out as once in a while.
"Are you sure she should be going to school already? She is just six years old after all. I still think we should wait some time before doing that. She's far too childish at some times."
The mother criticised her daughter in the end but in a protective way. Her little girl shouldn't be risking her life already. She should be at home where she belonged until then.
"Why do you still not want to let her go? There's nothing the teachers at the expensive private school could teach her anymore. She's read all the books already. We could maybe give her access to more books and let her go to school normally after she's done with the cram school."
The girl was curious what her biological parents were talking. She knew it was something about her but she also was taught eavesdropping was absolutely not good and she'd recieve a punishment for doing it.
Instead she let the grown ups talk and started wandering the large halls. Shiro Fujimoto behind her all the time in case she didn't find her way back or had questions.
But what he didn't know was that the girl had already read all of her familys books. The old books from the cram school, too.
Literally anything she could read was memorised in only mere hours, minutes, seconds. Depending on how thick the book was and how long she took to read the book.
But after she knew everything standing in the school books her house teacher brought with her and the books in their library. She had just started reading the books in the cities library.
Nothing her parents did seemed to help to get her away from those damned books. Until they had suggested she could join the school those interesting books about the demons she was seeing were from.
The six-year old Kazumi was ready to join this school. No matter if she'd see awful things or had to leave her home for a while.
She wanted to do this.
*A Year Later*
Kazumi was still in the cram school and top of her class. But she was, indeed, lonely. The other students were all older than her by what she felt was a lot.
And those she actually had made friends with were nearly always busy with learning. The now seven-year old couldn't understand this.
Naturally. She never had to. She experienced anything in any way and it was stuck in her brain.
Just then Fujimoto-sensei came up to her while Kazumi was sitting at the fountain, reading a high school book about maths. With him was a shy boy, around her age.
"Kazumi-chan, this is one of my sons, Yukio Okumura." She only looked up for a second and smiled at him. Then, she went back to reading her book.
Shiro motioned for his awestruck son to go and sit with her. The seven-year old boy did as his father said and went over to the small girl, asking if he could sit with her.
"Sure." Was the first word he heard from her. "Do you maybe... wanna be... friends...?" That had surprised her. Noone had ever asked her this before. It was always her that asked until now.
Still with the surprised expression on her face she turned to face the boy. He'd already thought she didn't want to and looked at him like that because of it.
But he was surprised, too, when the girl let her book fall and hugged him tight. Smiling brightly she nodded, making him smile, too.
From then on they did nearly everything together - as long as it was during cram school.
Yukio was still living at home with his father and brother. And Kazumi was living in one of the old boys dormitories for the time being.
But whenever she was going on a mission or something like the camp because of the training. He was worried for his only friend. And his brother didn't count in on this.
Even though he already knew of her origins.
*A Year Later*
"Yukio!" The eight year old was running to her friend. Exited to the Point she was near squealing. "I did it! I have my first meister! It's the Doctor! Now I can do the others..." The young boy only nodded and continued learning while ignoring his only friend.
She pouted and sat down next to him. After some time she started rambling about random things to herself. Yukio didn't listen to her ramble until he heard his own name inbetween the flood of words. "Great... Now I lost my friend to learning, just like everyone else... maybe I should just stop bothering Yukio and let him focus on his studies.- Yeah! I'll do that, maybe that'll make him happy again."
With that she left him sitting alone and ran away to her room.
Yukio was shook and couldn't concentrate on learning the rest of the day. Week. Month, even.
After this they didn't see each other again until years later at Kazumi's graduation. And after this event not until it was time for being picked up to go to True Cross Academy and being teachers of the same class...
