Happy Anniversary!

           

I have been in love with Finn since I was 12. I would dream about him all day, but never thought I would get so lucky as to be able to date him, now 5 years later, I'm 17 and dating him. My life is perfect.

Finn and I have been dating for 4 years now. We have had a long healthy, loving relationship. I am sitting in our bed looking on Instagram, while Finn is at work. Finn walks inside the door.

"Hey babe! I'm home! Happy 4 year anniversary" Finn says

"Hey babe! How was work?" I question

"It was ok... but I got you a present!"

Finn pulls a box out of his backpack and hands it to me. Now I'm nervous. I don't like it when I get gifts, having him is all I could ever ask for. I go to open it.

"Wait! I have card too!" Finn says to me.

He hands me the card and I open it. It reads

My amazing girlfriend,

We have been dating for so long now, and my life has been better since I met you. I don't know what I would do without you, and I don't know how I ever lived without you. When I met you my life changed for the better and I love you so much. Thank you for keeping me sane. I love you to the upside down and back.

I started crying. That was so sweet, until I met him it wasn't common for me to feel loved. He wrapped his hands around me and pulled me into a tight hug.

"Don't cry babe! It was supposed to make you happy!"

"These are happy tears! I love you so much!" I exclaim.

"Aww! I love you too! Now open the present!" Finn persists.

I untie the ribbon to the box and open the lid. Inside are two Twin Peaks concert tickets.

"OH MY GOD FINN!"I scream.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!"

"I know how much you and I like them, and it's one of the things we talked about in our first date." Finn says

"Oh my goodness. You're so sweet! Thank you so much you're amazing! I love you so much!" I tell him.

I examine the tickets, and realize that the concert is in California, but we live in Canada. Before I can say anything Finn says

"I know it's in California, but I'll just get the tickets."

"Wait, you never opened my present!" I say

I go to my dresser and open the top drawer and rummage through my clothes until I reach the bottom. I pull out a box and hand it to him.

"Sorry babe, I didn't get a card, but I love you more than words can describe." I say to him.

Finn laughs and says

"No worries. But you didn't have to get me anything!"

"OPEN IT!" I say excitedly.

Finn slowly opens the box, looking at me nervously. He reaches inside and pulls out  two plane tickets to California! I had no clue that we were going to the concert that week!

Finn looks up at me nervously and says

"You knew?"

"No! I promise! But we met in California and so I thought we could go on vacation! We are just perfect together so it worked out well!" I explain

"Well in that case, thank you so much! How did... how... wow! You're amazing!" Finn exclaims.

I dramatically flip my hair and jokingly say "I know"

He gets off the bed and wraps his strong arms around me and pulls me into a hug.

"I love you so much." Finn says

"I love you more." I say back

He leans down to kiss me. Before he can I start laughing. I'm so short he has to lean down so far it makes me giggle every time. He plants a soft kiss in my lips. He makes me so happy.
