But Alex in soo damnnnn ;o
====++++====
"REMI WAKE UP! THERES A HELICOPTER!" Alex yelled.
I hoped up off the sand and indeed saw a huge, white helicopter landed on the shore.
"You kid's the lost ones?" A man with a scruffy beard asked.
"Yes, Alex Newson and Remington Claire!" I shouted over the loud helicopter.
"You're going home, my friends." He smiled and grabbed Alex's hand to lift him into the helicopter.
Next, The man grabs my hand and begin's to lift me into the helicopter until at the last second, I slip and he loses grasp of my hand.
The pilot, unaware I have not reached the inside begins to fly away from the shore, sand landing all in my eyes from the wind power, and the last thing I hear is a cry of my name from Alex.
☁︎
I shoot up off the sand, sweating and breathing rapidly.
"Remi, are you okay?" Alex asks
"How are you here? The helicop..." I fade when I realize it was all a dream. A terrible, frightening dream.
A nightmare.
"What are you talking about?" He asks, worrying.
Without thinking I begin to cry, right there in front of Alex, I let it all go.
Reality hit me, right smack in the face and it hurt pretty bad.
Alex tried to comfort me by saying "It's okay." and "We're going to make it." and embracing me, but not for one second do I believe his statements. Basically because they're not the truth.
"You know what Alex, It's not okay, and I have a strong feeling we won't make it." I cry
Alex sighs, grabs my hand, and pulls me closer.
"Am I wrong?" I begin "It is called the Lost Island for a reason, Alex." I choke on my words.
"Believe, Just believe that soon your mom, my dad, Derinda..," He trails off when I begin to cry more.
Derinda is my other best friend. She was recently diagnosed with a blood clot disease called Factor 5. She's a fighter and I miss her so much.
"I'm sorry, I miss her too. We we're the mean girl's of Northwest High." He smiles and earns a laugh from me.
"Hey," he uses his index finger to lift my chin so our eyes meet, "You and I are not like anybody else, We are gonna make it, okay?" He searches my eyes.
"Okay." I force a shy smile.
He gets up to wipe the sand off his shorts and whips his hand out to help me get up.
I wipe my shorts off and think of anything I can do to get my mind off my problems.
"Hey, let's go for a swim." Alex answers my thought's.
"Yeah." I reply.
He begins to take off his shorts, only leaving his boxers covering his toned body.
I took of my shorts and Alex's flannel leaving me only in my tie die bikini.
Alex jumps in immediately after his strip tease and I hesitate a little.
"The water's great!" Alex yells to assure me.
I jump in and let the water surround me. I felt wonderful on my dry skin and I was now thankful for this idea.
Alex came behind me and began to tickle me, knowing how much I hate it.
"ALEX, STOP!" I scream, wiggling around in his tight grip on my body.
As soon as I wiggled enough to turn around in his arm's so I was facing him, he stopped tickling me and his smile dropped. He looked into my eyes and pushed the stray hair that just fell on my forehead. I just stood there, in his arm's, staring into the big green eyes of my best friend.
Then we were kissing.
