I may need no introduction of myself for many knew me yet many didn't. And for those who don't, shall see the legend of which I am, the adventures I had taken, and the obstacles I had passed. There were many myths and legends I lived, but few remember that it wasn't Odysseus who saved the day, it was me, Eurylochus who, sweated blood for them to survive. Thus, I will show you how I was the one who saved my people, my companions and my friends from the hands of that evil man. I may not remember much, but I am a great storyteller, so let's begin.

I felt unpleasant; I couldn't breathe, I experienced as if I was drowning, and I felt some refreshing sense of fluid through my whole body. I opened my eyes, and saw myself in deep water, as my eyes started searching around, I saw debris, and I saw bodies, my friends, my brothers, sinking to the ocean floor. I witnessed in their eyes the sense of shock and fear, their arms facing upward toward me, as if wishing I could have saved them. Above me, I sensed a strong illuminating light and swam up to it, as I did; I reached to the surface of the water and gasped for air. The ocean roared for the waves pushed me hard, thrashing me around the sides and crushed their weight on me, as when a tiger leaps on its prey, and tears it alive, that's how rough these waves were on me. The day wasn't dark and dreary, for the bright sun rose from the end of the ocean and sparkled its beam onto my face. Its warmth had me stunned for a moment, until I saw and came to know what happened, we had fallen, but it had occurred so fast, and sudden. I was surrounded by fire and water; these flaming fires reached high above as if touching the sky. I looked signs for land, and found one in my sight, I swam as fast as I could heading for it, and reached ashore. Due to exhaustion and fatigue, I fell into a deep sleep.

I felt a light tapping on my right shoulder, it felt warm and rough, I threw up water and then opened my eyes slowly to find strange figures standing in front of me, I believed that I had come to heaven yet the more I was returning into consciousness the more clearer it became, and I saw in front of me the son of Laertus, Odysseus, proud of his glory and fame watching over me, laughing inside for the state I and my crew was in. I tried to stand up but fell, I felt sick from inside, and hunger crawled throughout my body. I asked for food, and my crew quickly served me. I ate as if I've never had seen food from decades, by then Odysseus had walked away. I asked my friends from where they discovered such food, and they told me that some of the cargo ended up on the beach, "It has been a real disaster", they said. After all we had survived the impossible. Well... they had seen my clothes, soaked wet and damp with salt water, so they offered me some dry clothes to put on. I felt pleased by their actions.
