A/N: This is a scene I think is missing in the S2 finale of Riverdale, so enjoy! Feel free to comment oneshot ideas, I'd love to write for you. Now onto the first chapter...

Alice just sat there on the stairs, wearing her most comfortable clothes without any makeup on. One hand holding her head, trying to keep it in place, doing everything she can not to lose control anymore. And the other hand holding the only thing that seems to be helping her at the moment. She kept pouring the alcohol, two empty bottles already on the floor.

There was a knock on the door but with all the people outside her house only waiting for her to open the door again, she just kept drinking. These people are monsters keeping her from getting through one of the hardest times in her life. She probably hasn't been sleeping for the last few days, their screams and the constant feeling of not being able to breathe controlling her thoughts.

Another knock and she had enough. One loud, yet broken "Go away!" was all she was able to scream when she felt all the emotions coming through again. And the tears started streaming down her face.
On the other side of the door it was quiet, no one except one person was there. He heard her voice and knew exactly how broken she was. How could he be so dumb? He could have protected her! But instead he rejected her in the worst possible way at POPs...
At this point he was a mess himself, banging his head against the door finally stopping to lean on it. The tears rolling down his face now.

A few minutes went buy and he caught himself again. He had to talk to her. Get her out of that house and away from everything. "Alice! Please open the door."

Was that him? No it couldn't be... Only her dreams playing a prank on her. "Alice!" That has to be him, this warm voice feeling like home is calling for her. "Alice, I know you're still there. I can't leave you alone right now, please just open the door! I need to see you." He didn't shout, he talked in this soothing way and waited for her to do something.
She got up and had trouble walking, had to hold herself up on the wall. She kicked a bottle and finally made it to the door. But instead of opening it she just stood there, feeling him on the other side. A single tear made its way down her cheek and the slightest smile formed on her face as she placed her palms and head on the door. "I know you're standing there" He said, only loud enough for her to hear. "So please let me in."

Her hand travelled to the door knob and she finally opened it. The door swung open but FP couldn't see her face. She turned around as soon as she turned the knob and started to walk back to the stairs. But she wasn't strong enough. Her legs gave in and she fell to the ground. Alice sat there, a broken doll, begging to be fixed. He closed the door and ran over to her dropping to the floor. He didn't care anymore. FP pulled her up and wrapped his arms around her. She buried her head deep into his shoulder and let everything go. "It's okay, it's okay, it's okay" he whispered, it all felt like a déjà vu. They just sat there and everything seemed to disappear, only blurry darkness around them.

"I can't do this anymore", she broke the silence, "I'm not strong enough to deal with this!" "I know, and that's why I'm here." He pulled back slightly to lift up her beautiful face. They got up and walked over to the living room, she sat down on the couch while he was picking up the empty bottles and putting them into the kitchen. He returned with a glass of water putting it on the table in front of them. She had her arms propped up on her legs and face resting in her hands, so he just sat down next to her.

"They will hate me, us, the Cooper family. I was married to a monster over decades and didn't realize it. I can't even forgive myself, so why would they? We all were friends and now I can't look at Fred without feeling guilty...Hal and I drove to the hospital together when we heard about Fred being shot. And I didn't realize that he was the Black Hood! He sat next to me in the car just minutes after he nearly killed Fred!" Her voice grew into screams. "It is MY fault, I should've noticed, I should've stopped him!"

"Alice, hey, Alice!" he tried to stop her from talking the whole time but she couldn't hear. She was lost in her thoughts again. Only when he reached out putting his hand on her lower back, resting it on the same spot for a few seconds before starting to slowly move it up and down, she stopped and turned her head to look at him. "I'm sorry!" she cried out. And then she did the one thing that seemed to be right in this moment. She laid down on the couch, her head resting on his legs, looking into the empty living room. He traced small lines from her back up to her ear to calm her down, stopping every now and then just to look at her.

She turned her head to look at him and saw the small smile on his face. He did it once again. Made her smile and feel better, comforted her even though she didn't ask for it. "Thank you, Forsythe" she whispered lifting herself up a little, placing her hand on his chest. This is the woman I love... He bent down kissing her forehead. "Always, Alice Susanna Smith" This is the man I love... This is what they both had wished for, but never thought would happen. They just sat there smiling, she rested her head against his chest and he put his head over her, protecting her. Nobody would ever hurt her again...
