'Come we must prepare ourselves. You must know about Satan and I, along with the history. You will live that vision, this I promise you.'
I smile, relief filling me. One day, I would live to see a blue sky. One day, I would be happy. "I have a question, what is love?" I ask curiously.
'Ah, love is something that binds everything. Love is the opposite of hate.'
"How do you know when there's love?"
'When you do not want to let someone go.'
I nod, not asking the questions that linger in my mind. Does I Am love me? Do I love him?
'Close your eyes.'
I nod, trusting I Am will all of my heart and soul. He wouldn't let any harm befall me, this I know for sure.
A light faintly grows, making me squeeze my eyes tighter. Finally, it fades away.
'Open them.'
I crack open my eyes and they begin flitting around the clearing in amazement. The clearing is filled with tall grass and the bright objects, but, to my disappointment, no ball of fire in the sky and no blue sky welcome me. The sky is still dark as ever.
'The sky will come with time. For now, you must know.'
"What are those objects? And that lovely smell?" I ask, staring at the colored objects dotting the grass.
'Those, my love, are flowers. They give off a wonderful aroma.'
"Oh." I dip my head in a nod and sit down in the soft grass, crossing my legs in front of me and leaning on my arms behind me.
'Once, a long, long time ago, I made the Earth.'
"What's the Earth?" I interrupt, and then blush. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt!" I stutter an apology.
'No worries. The Earth is where you live. It is the sky about you and the air you breathe. That is what Earth is.'
I nod, yearning for more of the story soon to be told.
'Also, I made the Heavens for after someone's life on Earth. But the Earth back then was just a rock, lifeless and formless, filled with water. On the first day, I made light against the darkness, calling the light 'day' and the darkness 'night.''
I feel myself being pulled into the story as my mind imagines a rock filled with water, and then I Am adding lightness and darkness.
'On the first day, I made the sky. Wholly blue, with white clouds.'
I remember the fluffy white things decorating the sky in my vision.
'On the second day, I made dry land rise from the waters.'
"Where did all the water go? Did it just disappear altogether?" I ask in amazement.
'No, it is still out there, far beyond the Outlands. But you will see it one day. You will see the ocean.'
I nod vigorously, excitement filling me. The Ocean, I think to myself. What a wonderful, majestic name!
'On the third day, I made vegetation on the Earth. Trees, flowers, plants, and grass alike.'
I smile, picking a flower beside me. I sniff it, luxuriating in the wonderful perfume before placing it carefully in my hair behind my ear.
'On the fourth day, I created the sun- the big ball of fire in the sky- and the moon- the soft light in the night sky. The sun lights that day, and the moon illuminates the night.'
I nod, remembering the bright ball of fire from my vision. I wonder what the moon looks like...
'On the fifth day, I made creatures for the ocean and sky.'
"How could the creatures stay in the ocean and sky?" I ask, weird animals forming in my head.
'The animals in the oceans had fins to help them swim through the water. The animals in the sky had wings to keep them aloft for long periods at a time.'
I shrug my shoulders and nod slightly, still not able to form a good picture in my mind of the strange animals.
'On the sixth day, I created animals to prowl the lands. I created many different kinds, one kind alike to their own kind. Also, I decided to create man in my own image, to rule over the other animals. I gave man everything. From the animals on the ground, to the fish in the sea, to the birds in the sky, to the plants on the Earth. It was good. Their names were Adam and Eve.'
Adam and Eve. Wow, the first two people ever.
'The garden of Eden was theirs. It had fruits of every kind, and animals of every kind. Everything was perfect. There were only two bad things. One tree in the garden, which I had commanded Adam and Eve not to eat. One tree of hundreds. That was all I asked of them. The fruit of the tree of Good and Evil would only pull Adam and Eve away from me. Away from the Garden of Eden. Away from happiness. The other bad thing was a snake. But he was sly and sneaky, charming and deceitful. But most of all, a convincing liar. You might know him as Satan, or Mr. Hellsworth.'
I gasp, everything finally coming together.
