Chapter 2: That Day

The first class passed on smoothly as the day went by. Lorelei packed her things and went out of the classroom heading to her next class. Science.

She arrived the at school lab. There we're only a few students there. As she entered the room, she quietly passed by at the back of the room reaching her table. Where as her lab partner that has been assigned to her since the first was already there in his lab coat and rimmed glasses, intently focused on his book which was about human biology.

Kyouran Amano, or also known as Kyo. Timid, quiet,monotonous and rude is how Lorelei would describe him. But known for being one of the most intellectual students in Aldea. His family is also one of the most influential companies in Japan. His not really that approachable. Just like his family, Kyo is a professional and business minded person. He will not associate himself with anyone unless are of any usefulness to his goals.

He has been Lorelei's lab partner. They don't really talk at all unless it involves any connection to their class. Both professional as being lab partners.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Lorelei placed her bag beside her chair and sat. Kyo ignoring her arrival completely not even giving her a single glance. Lorelei was completely fine with that. Its better than having an obnoxious human being like— nevermind.

Lorelei sighed as it has been a while now since her arrival. She took out her phone to check the time. It has been 10 minutes since the bell rang for the second period the professor should arrive by now.

And just like that the door opened revealin a man in his 40's in a turtle neck grey top, beige pants and a labcoat. His aura is filled with enthusiasm as he entered the room.

"Good mornin' students! Quite the gloomy faces with have 'ere aye? Come on cheer up! We ain't starting the class without seeing smiles." the professor greeted the students enthusiastically.

One student replied. "Oh come on professer Connor, we aren't kindergartens anymore."

The teacher chuckled. "A'right! But ya'll going to grow old if you won't smile more often. Anyways..." Professor Conner stopped in mid sentence as he scanned through the room specifically searching for someone.

Lorelei already knew who. The only students that never comes to Chemistry class.

"He's not 'ere again, I suppose. That boy..." Professor Conner said in disbelief as he continued to his class.

Frog Dissecting.

Written in big bold letters by the Professor himself.

They we're all given a frog to dissect for their current lesson. Everyone was in disgust including Lorelei herself as he also wouldn't want to touch a dead amphibian and experiment with it. She looked at her partner who seemed to be not even moved by today's lab activity.

They all took a box that was placed at the back of the room. It was cooler where the frog was stored. The moment the activity started there was nothing but ewws and complains surfacing the room as the student proceed.

Meanwhile at Lorelei and Kyo's table there was nothing but dead silence as they continue the activity. Both agreed to Kyo being the one to actually dissect the frog and Lorelei assisiting and taking notes for the activity.

"Scalpel." Kyo said as Lorelei handed her the knife to be used in opening the frogs stomach.

Lorelei almost puked at the sight but tried to composed herself in order not to annoy his partner at her utter disgust for frogs.
