The crisp cool air nipped at my cheeks as I stood against the parks wire fence. Out of the corner of my eyeliner smothered eyes, I spotted the swings in the park. I felt my lips tug upwards hearing the faint giggle of Thelea as she screamed to be pushed higher and higher. The memory faded into the back of Cosettes mind as she heard the crunch of tires over the fallen nuts from the trees.
She scanned the modest red Charger with pursed lips covered in red lipstick. As the car slowed to a stop next to the curb the window slowly rolled down and Cosette seductively swayed her hips, sauntering her way near and bending over her bussom halfway popping out. Her eyes picked apart the man grinning at her.Not half bad, she thought, but should be more loyal. Her eyes landed on a gold ring on his left hand and she felt herself feel disgust towards this man. Even though she was a corner slut, she didn't like un-loyal men.
"Your married." Her naturally husky voice stated.
He raised a brow, "Does that matter? She's a ditz anyway, never finds out. You'll get good pay, I promise." He winked.
Cosette shrugged and pursed her lips as she got into the car. He watched her, his eyes devouring her long legs and wide hips. She made herself comfy in the seat and as he pulled away he said, "You know for a corner... girl... you don't dress like one. But you still manage to look sexy as hell." He said eyeing her small red dress.
Cosette didn't blush, she shrugged. "It's the only job that pays and like you said, if i look 'sexy as hell' then i don't think i need to make myself feel like a slut."
He nodded his head in understanding, his eyes trained on the road as she saw a familiar hotel come into view. She internally sighed, maybe i should make the hotel my corner. He parked the car and he came around to open the door for her. She blinked at him in surprise, "Wow opening the door for your entertainment? That's a first." she muttered.
He winked at her as he paid for a room and took hold of her hand and they made their way up to the room. Sliding the card in the door slot and opening the door he pulled her inside and slammed her to the door, kissing and nibbling her neck. He left a trail of kisses in his wake as he made way to her lips. She pushed on his chest lightly as he was a hairs width from her lips. "I don't kiss my clients, sorry." He shrugged, "It's understandable. You probably have someone special reserved." he smiled. I nodded my head and grabbed him by his tie, slowly pulling him to the bed. The back of my legs hit the bed and I started to unbutton his shirt, his tie already out of the way. He shrugged off his shirt as I unzipped his slacks and then was pushed onto the bed. He tsked her from his point then slowly had her stand up and he turned her around, unzipping her dress his cold hands slipping inside and took hold of her waist, kissing her neck. She slowly slid off the dress revealing her red lacy undergarments as he let his pants fall to the ground. She looked at him and then walked over to his pants taking out his wallet and picked out the condom she knew would be in there. She turned to him, a grin on his face as he rolled it on.
Cosette looked to the ceiling as she felt his hands ran over her, feeling every curve. She just wanted it to be over and go home, but she had to get the money. The cool fall air welcomed her as and old friend. She walked taking her time enjoying the colors of fall and the crunch of leaves under her three inch heels. Her and Theleas favorite season. As she came closer to her apartment she noticed the lights we on. She rolled her eyes as she walked up the steps to her apartment and unlocked the door. Slightly warm air danced around her as she stepped inside and shut the door bringing the attention of a little girl. "Mommy!!!" She giggled as she ran to me while i took of my coat. She wrapped her arms around my legs as she looked up to me smilling, her eyes filled with so much laughter and love. I relaxed my muscles as i bent down and picked her up spinning us as she laughed with me. I kissed her cheeks repeatdly leaving little red lipstick marks on her cheeks. "Mommy you got lipstick on me!" She pouted, her tiny lip jutting out and an adorable scowl taking over her face. Holly, the babysitter came out of the bathroom, her eyes lighting up as she laided eyes on us.
"Thank god your here! This monster was just too much fun!" She mock complained and Thelea stuck her tongue out at her and Holly made a face back at her, "Midget."
"Loser."
"Brat."
"Meanie."
"Monster."
"Stupid head."
Cosette laughed at their bickering as she set Thelea down and walked into the bathroom, washing off the makeup and changing into her flannal bottums and a tank top. She ran out the bathroom and picked up Thelea throwing her over her back and spinning around. Holly was laughing as well, thinking that Cosette looked so happy here. Cosette landed on the couch with a thump and Thelea lay right next to her, Their dark brown har splayed out together. Thelea shot up shouting, "Sleepover!!" She shouted over and over again jumping with joy. Cosette rolled over watching her daughter bounce up and down, she looked at Holly with a sheepish smile, "You wanna stay?"
Holly rolled her eyes, "At this rate I'll never escape." She smiled at us, laughing. "Of course I'll stay."
Upon Thelea hearing this screamed and ran to her room grabbing herself two pillows and a blanket and her stuffed bunny. Cosette laughed watching the little five year old run with over stuffed arms. She dropped all her stuff but her bunny and sat down looking at us expectantly. i laughed and dragged Holly into my room and threw a pair of pjs at her and brought out some pillows and blankets into the living room. Thelea grinned up at her mother, pleased she gets to have a sleepover with Holly and her.
"Thelea, you wanna watch a movie?" She nodded enthusiastically, "Okiee dokiee, help Holly pick one out I'll get the popcorn ready."
"Don't forget the chocolate chips!" Holly and Thelea shouted after Cosette. She chuckled, putting the popcorn in the microwave and gettign a bowl and chocolate chips out. She looked out the window, watching the night sky and listening to Holly and Thelea laugh. Cosette smiled upon seeing a shooting star, the burning ball of fire shooting across the sky quick. I wish I could give Thelea a better life.
The beeping of the microwave brought Cosette out of her day dreaming. She grabbed the popcorn and poured hal of it in the bowl puting chocolate chips in an the the other half and more chocolate chips. She jogged into the livingroom slidding onto her blanket in the middle and left teh bowl in front of herself so everyone could reach it. She watched as the movie Lelo and Stitch played on her tv screen.
By the middle of the movie all the popcorn was gone and Thelea was asleep. Cosette layed her on her side and put her bunny in her arms and tucked her in a blanket. Holly was asleep as well so she shut off the movie and put a blanket over Holly. Cosette lay down beside Thelea and put and arm around her. Cosette watched as Thelea slept, a smile pulling at her lips as Thelea curled into her. She tuckde her dark hair behind her ear and kissed her forehead. "Goodnight Thelea, sweet dreams baby girl."
Holly watched as Cosette bid Thelea goodnight, "You know," she started sleepily, "I wish I would turn into a mother like you." Cosette turned to look at Holly shaking her head," No you don't. I just try to take care of her." She sighed.
Holly propped herself up on her elbow, "Don't say that. You sacrifice so much for that little girl. You try your hardest to make her happy and she's always been happy. She loves you and you love her. Your an amazing mother. Don't let anyone tell you differently." Holly stated confidently, then layed down for some sleep.
Cosette layed down also, the rythem of her daughters breathing lulling Cosette asleep and away from this world.
