"What are you doing?!"
"...Eating."
"We're being held hostage and you decide to raid the kitchen?!"
"They didn't say the fridge is off limits."
............................
I slowly open my eyes to see the familiar grey ceiling towering over me causing me to sigh in disappointment. I close my eyes, attempting to fall back asleep, but suddenly here a deafening sound coming from outside my door. Or was it coming from inside my head? I begin to panic and swiftly jump off my bed, but quickly fall to the floor clutching my ears.
The unbearable pain, I can't handle it. I have never felt anything like it before. Unable to think what to do, I attempt to stand but soon after fall to the ground, howling in pain. Blood begins dripping down my hands, causing tears to run down my face. The static like sound begins to overwhelm me. I can't handle it anymore, I think, just as everything goes dark.
............................
My eyes open to a blinding light causing me to close them once again. What happened? Why are my ears ringing? I open my eyes once more and sit up once they are adjusted to the light. Panic fills me once I realize I am not in my room anymore. Everything quickly comes rushing back to me causing me to push myself against the wall in terror. My eyes soon dart towards the other corner of the small colorless room.
I am not alone.
In a small bed no different than the one I am sitting on, is a girl no younger than 12. The girl is gently rocking her self back and forth while facing towards the wall. I knew something was wrong, and slowly get off the cold metal surface.
I quietly shift myself to the edge of the bed and tell myself to ask if she is alright. Almost silently, I whisper, "Are... are you a..alright?" The girl jumps up in terror but soon relaxes when she notices it is just me. "Oh.. you're awake.", she says quietly before leaning against the wall.
I let out a small breath before looking towards the door. I begin to walk towards the door before the girl says, "There is no use.. I have already tried." A tear begins to fall down my face as the reality begins to sink in.
Someone or something took us.
And I don't think I am going to go home for a very long time.
