Her side of the story

Her eyes are the earth,

she holds the galaxies in her hands,

and spins cobwebs on her lips.

Her poetry isn't in the,

words she speaks,

or the melodies she sings,

for she can't do either.

But in the way her eyes,

meet yours,

and in the maps,

tracing her hands.

No one will love her,

though the whole world claims to.

Her parents don't trust her,

Despite her pleads.

No one knows her side of the story,

the bite out of the apple.

No one knows her lullabies,

and her truths and her lies.

No one knows her side of the story,

the restless nights,

and tiring light.

No one knows beauty,

like she's seen in silent films,

and sad songs.

In the violin bows,

and theatre rows.

No one seen the world,

the earth through her eyes.

For no one has ever seen,

her side of the story.
