Lemuria

Chapter two

"Aria? What on earth are you doing here? I thought-" Aria caught her off mid sentence and said " we were but we came back to Havenmoor to see you..... and to also recruit you for our expedition team." When eve heard this she went completely silent. She gestured for her and Lawrence to enter her home. Aria took Lawrence to a guest bedroom. He was passed out from drinking so much at jinns bar. Aria and Eve sat down at the kitchen table. Eve eyes showed no emotions. Silence remained. Eve very suddenly said "you want me.... on the team? Why?" Arias face conveyed confusion. " we would like you on the team because you were one of the leading experts on Lemuria and-". "Stop right there. I don't want to hear anymore". Said Eve, quiet obviously fed up with the praise from Aria. " But Eve! We need you. Your expertise, and honestly we missed you, we wished you were there when we found that map. Please, just consider it." Aria said. Eve plainly responded with " I will think about it, now if you don't mind I'm going to go and tend my gardens. There's some Advil in the cupboard by the fridge. Lar will need it when he wakes up". Aria sat silently at the table, nodding her head. Aria's mind went blank, she snapped out of it when she heard the back door slam shut. She sat there for quite some time. It wasn't until she heard Lawrence coming down the stairs that she looked up from her seat at the table. There he was coming down the stairs with a pounding headache. "Hey Ari, where are we?". "Are you serious?" Aria replied. "We are in havenmoor, in Eve's house". Informing him, her tone strict and serious. "Does she have Advil? Cause my head hurts". He said as he was sitting down at the table, holding his head. Aris stood up and found a glass and the Advil for Lawrence, and not saying a word set them down in front of him.  Aria looked out the window. Eve was outside pruning her roses and weeding the gardens on her property. She then moved to the side of the house to take care of the climbing roses. While she cared for them she thought about Aria's proposition. Her... on an adventure? As if. She had vowed to never adventure since that day. Then again what if they did need her. She was most likely the only one who could read that map. She doubted that Lawrence or Aria knew how to read it. "Then it's decided, I will go." Eve said to herself. She grabbed the ladder from the garage and began to pick a few of the unusual roses.

Hello! So just some very quick info. Jinns bar is the name of that particular bar. A jinn is an evil spirit in the Middle East. Three. I wanted to thank everyone who has been reading the book so far!
