So, yesterday I was just really thinking to myself ' I really don't wanna go to school tomorrow. ' My plan was just going to be to suck it up and just go to school, but no.

This situation was a win/lose.

I've been having problems with my eyes for a while now, but I mainly think it's because of where I live at and it's really dusty and nasty. (Kids, never live at a Motel. Worst mistake)

So last night, I was just rubbing my eyes, but my right one in particular was really irritating. I just tried to go to sleep and it would be better in the morning. I put music on my phone and just tried to go to sleep.

1 am, I wake up because for some reason my brain does that. Does that every happen to you where you just wake up at a random time because, you just do. That's what happened.

My eye was EXTREMELY itchy and was in pain and I felt like crap. It's like having a really bad cold, but it's with one eye. (That makes no sense but that how it felt like.)

I go to the bathroom to go wash my hands and face, but guess what?

The bathroom lights weren't working. (NEVER LIVE IN A 50 YEAR OLD MOTEL)

I went to go grab my phone so I can use the flashlight on there, and I went back to the bathroom, with my eye really, really irritated.

I turned on my phone, swiped up, pressed the flash light button, and shined the light in my face so I could see my eye in the mirror.

I almost freaked the flim-flam out.

My left eye was fine. My right eye......let's just say this: half on the eye was swollen. I don't mean the outside of the eye, like the eyelid, I MEAN THE ACTUAL EYE. HALF.

I started thinking a million things. Like should I wake my mom up and tell her? I didn't want to do that because she had work so I decided to try and search up what was causing this.

:TWO HOURS LATER:

Im on google, trying to figure out what was happening. I then ended up with the conclusion that I had pink eye. I had pretty much all the symptoms so I did everything it said to do. I don't want to touch anything because apparently, pink eye is VERY contagious and can easily spread.

Long story short, I only got 5 hours of sleep, with a very cold paper towel that was damp on my right eye. It felt like a cold, cold hard rock was just on my eye as I was trying to get some sleep.

When I woke up, my eye was A LOT better of how it was last night. I was up, around the same time as my mom and brother, and this was pretty much word for word how the conversation went.

"Hey mom?"

"Yes?"

"Can I stay home?"

There was a slight pause.

"You have testing NEXT week right?"

"Y-yea."

"Alright, you can stay home."

Me and my 18 year old brother made eye contact. He had the look of 'I told you mom is chill'

"I think my eye is infected."

Her reaction....I don't even know.

"Okay, I'm going to put eye drops in it. Put your hair back and just put eye drops in it every so often."

She put the eye drops in, then left for work with my brother who was driving her.

I was just in pure amazement. All I was thinking was did my mom really just let me stay home with out hesitation, and my eye is better already? Really?

For the whole day I've just been washing my hands, and not touching my eyes at all.

I think I understand germaphobes now.
