I was playing 2k with Elijah, basically whooping his ass with ease. I always played with Justice and he taught me a few things. I laughed after dunking on Elijah's team, calling game.

"Its over!" I said dropping the remote. He leaned back in the couch and laughed.

"Yo cheating ass got lucky," He said, dropping the remote too.

"No need to cheat, honey. Thats skills right there," I chuckled going in the kitchen for a drink. "You want a Sprite too?"

"Nah, I'm cool," He said, putting away the remotes and games. His phone rang and he answered it.

"Hello? Oh wassup, J?" My eyes shot to him. Justice? "Yeah...yeah...yeah...yeah."

I rolled my eyes at Elijah's yeahs on the phone. How many times was yeah needed?

He brought the phone away from his ear and reached it out to me. "He wanna talk to you."

"Hello?" I answered.

"Wassup, Av?" He asked. "How you holding up?"

"Fine, I guess."

"Elijah treating you good? He didn't try nothing did he?" He asked, sounding protective.

"No, no, he didn't. He's treating me fine," I assured him. "I just finished whipping him in 2k."

Elijah shook his head and I laughed.

"Oh okay. I'm just glad you safe. But listen to him, Av, don't be acting stubborn like you usually do," He said and I rolled my eyes.

"Alright, Justice, alright," I sighed. "When are you coming back?"

"I don't know..." He exhaled. "It might be a while. But I love you Ava, remember that. And stick with Eli until this shit is done, iight?"

"Okay," I replied, feeling myself become emotional. "And I love you too."

The line went dead on his end and I wiped a tear that fell on my cheek. I was scared for Justice. I missed him and just wanted him back here.

"You okay?" Elijah asked, scaring me as he walked up behind me.

"Yeah," I sniffed. "I'm okay."

I handed him back his phone and he looked at me as if he didn't believe me. As I felt more tears about to fall, I walked away but he pulled me back into his arms, hugging me.

"I know its hard, Av, you just gotta keep your head up," He whispered as I cried into his chest.

"I just want it to be over," I cried. "I want Justice to be safe."

"I know. Me too. But we gotta be strong for him, iight?"

I nodded and let him go, wiping my tears. He looked down at me, raising up my chin.

"You trust me?" He asked.

"..Yes," I said, looking into his eyes.

"Good," He replied, lightly pulling my waist toward him, hugging me again. "You should."

For the rest of the night, we watched movies, chilling and talking. I felt a little better hanging out with him.

"I remember when you had them big ass braids when we was younger," He laughed and I laughed too.

"Oh shut up," I laughed.

"You were so young and innocent," He smiled, looking at me. "What happened?"

I rolled my eyes. "I am still young and innocent."

"Oh really?" He asked. I nodded.

"But I know you never were though," I joked. "Having a girl near you every time I saw you."

He laughed. "Nah, I wasn't even like that. Girls usually came up to me. I wasn't a player. I was too shy."

"Mhmmm," I smiled. "I don't believe you."

"Forreal, though. I really didn't," He insisted.

I chuckled. "I'm not even gonna lie I-"

I stopped myself before admitting to him a secret I really wasn't comfortable sharing with him.

"You what?" He pushed.

"Nothing," I shook my head. He started tickling me and I was laughing.

"Tell me," He said, tickling me to death. When I could no longer breathe, I gave up.

"Okay, okay," I gasped for air. "I'll tell you."

He stopped and watched me, waiting for me to respond. I took a deep breath. "I always...had a crush on you," I admitted as my cheeks burned with embarrassment.

He raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

I nodded, looking away. He smiled at me though.

"I didn't even know," He said. "I figured you saw me as a big bro or something."

I shrugged. "I guess I did too in a weird way. But I always thought you were cute and sweet and...oh my god, I can't believe I'm telling you this."

He laughed, mushing my head. "Loser."

I laughed, hitting him with a pillow. "Shut up."

He chuckled, pinning me down on the couch.

"Get off of me!" I laughed, trying to break free.

"Say sorry, first," He ordered. I pushed him over and we both fell off the couch, laughing like idiots.

I was straddling him and we shared a long, intense stare. And surprisingly, he leaned up and kissed my lips. I accepted the kiss, holding the sides of his face. We pulled away and looked at each other again, shocked.

"I'm sorry," He whispered.

"It's okay," I said, standing up. "I better go take a shower and go to sleep."

"Yeah, okay, goodnight," He said, quickly. I walked to my room and took a shower.

Once in bed, I couldn't fight the smile on my face. He kissed me!
