Chapter 3 : Introducing Lillian
3 Months Later From Eleanor Breaking Their Promise
Lillian's P.O.V
BEEP, BEEP, BEEP.
BEEP, BEEP, BEEP.
I rolled over to the other side of the bed, groaning. Without looking, I used my hand to find my alarm clock. After I found it, I tried pushing the button on snooze. The stupid button wasn't working, and without a care in the world, I threw it against the wall. Whoops! Little did I know, my mom came barging in a little after.
"LILLIAN GRACE SMITH. What did you throw at the wall?!" she yelled at me.
"Uhhh, I can explain..?" I replied innocently.
"Ugh, whatever. Just get up & get ready. Dad's going to be taking you to school today." she told me while walking out.
Today's not going to be my day, I thought. My morning started with breaking my little devil device that cost me $15. Devil device, you may ask? Yeah, my alarm clock. But, to me, it's a devil device. Anyways, I picked up my iPhone, and tapped on the app, Weather. It seemed like it was going to be chilly today, so I grabbed my cream cardigan, a black v-neck, and white skinny jeans and hopped into the bathroom. I stripped, and went into the shower. I jumped back in the corner, being the mindless loser I am, I shrieked at how cold it was. UGH, I didn't put it on warm. To my dismay with coldness, I turned the knob 80 degrees to the left. And, click! It was the perfect temperature. Knowing that I had little than 45 minutes to get to school, I quickly showered. Stepping out into the cold air, I wiped myself and dried my hair. I put on my clothes, and started to brush my hair. Once it was dry, my hair looked completely adorable. Since, I had wavy and somewhat, but not too much, curly hair, it popped my features well.
I walked into my room, and stood in front of the mirror. I took some time to observe myself. I had dark brunette wavy hair, and grey eyes. Yeah, I know. No one in my school had grey eyes. And reluctantly, everyone hated my eyes. I don't know why I had them, my parents had green and brown eyes. I had a curvy, slim figure. The v-neck hugged my curves pretty well. I'm not to shabby, if I do say so myself. But, I'm normal. I'm insecure, like every girl is. I had long legs, and I'm 5'5. After looking at myself, I nodded in approval. I went to put on some light make-up. I put on concealer, foundation, & finally, mascara.
I walked downstairs, greeted by the scent of pancakes, eggs, and bacon. I sat myself down, and grabbed a plate of whatever I could take. Turned out I was going to have a pancake, some scrambled eggs, and 2 slices of bacon. Taking my time, I realized I had less than 20 minutes to go to school. I wolfed it down, and went straight for my black Toms.
"DAD! I need to get to school NOW! I have less than 15 minutes.. And, thanks mom for the delicious meal!" I yelled.
"Your welcome, hunny. And, just so you know, your dad has been waiting in the car for you! Have a nice day at school." she yelled back.
"Yeah, yeah. Thanks!" I said while running towards the door.
I ran inside of the car, and almost immediately, my dad started to back up from the driveway.
"Woah there, Dad. Can't even wait for your beautiful daughter to come inside the car?" I gasped playfully.
"Yes, beautiful, I couldn't wait. After all, we both are going to be late!" he replied.
After that, we arrived at school. I thanked my dad, and ran inside the building. I went to my locker to get some things, and tried looking for my best friend.
