It's been months since Cody has proposed to me and we have been the happiest we could ever be. Wedding plans would be stressful at times but everything was worth it. I was not only marrying Cody but I was also marrying my best friend and I couldn't be happier. Our wedding was in a day and I was nervous.

Today was my wedding day and I was more nervous than before. My bridesmaids were with me in my room as we got our hair and makeup done.
I was the last to get ready. My hair and makeup were done to perfection. Now it was time to put on my dress and heels. I slipped off my white silk robe and the girls helped me zip up my dress.

I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled.
"Now before you put on your heels Cody wrote a little message for you on the bottom of them," Amber said and handed me my heels.
I looked at the bottom of my heels and read what he wrote.
"As we walk this journey from beginning to end I'm glad to have my true love and best friend." I read aloud.
I smiled and fanned my eyes. I blinked away a tear and slipped on my heels just as someone knocked on the door.
My dad stood on the other side of the doorway.
"Ready?" He asked.
"Ready." I nodded and grabbed my bouquet.
My dad and I made our way to the small limo. I heard a sniffle and immediately looked at him.
"No don't cry," I said as I felt my own tears well up.
"Its just you're not my little girl anymore." He said.
"Oh, dad I'll always be your little girl no matter what," I said and blinked away more tears.
We arrived at the venue and my dad and I got out.

He gave me a kiss on the forehead and interlocked our arms. The music started playing and I took a deep breath. We started walking down the aisle as everyone stared at us. Cody turned to look at me and his eyes widened as his jaw dropped. I smiled and stopped at the end of the aisle.
"Take care of her for me." My dad said to Cody.
"I always will sir," Cody said.
My dad kissed my forehead and made his way to his seat.
"Wow, you look gorgeous," Cody said.
"Thank you." I smiled "You look so handsome."
"Nothing compared to you." He said.
I blushed and smiled.
The pastor began the ceremony and Cody grabbed my hands in his. The ceremony went on and it was time for our vows. We decided to keep it simple and sweet.
"Lupe, do you take Cody, to be your partner in the adventure that lies ahead? Do you promise to walk by his side to the ends of the earth? To love, encourage, and support him in his every endeavor? Do you commit to opening yourself up completely to him and share with her your entire being?
To share his laughter as well as tears? Do you take him as your husband for now until the end of time?" The pastor recited.
"I do." I smiled widely.
Cody smiled.
"Cody, do you take Lupe, to be your partner in the adventure that lies ahead? Do you promise to walk by her side to the ends of the earth? To love, encourage, and support her in her every endeavor? Do you commit to opening yourself up completely to her and share with her your entire being?
To share her laughter as well as tears? Do you take her as your wife for now until the end of time?" The pastor recited again.
"I do." Cody smiled.
"You may now kiss the bride." The pastor said.
Cody wrapped his hands around my waist and I cupped his face. He leaned in slowly until our lips met. I still felt those fireworks that I felt when I was sixteen. I pulled away and rested my forehead on his.
"I love you." He smiled.
"I love you," I whispered.
