I was not planning to do an author's note when it's so early in the story, but I thought it would be appropriate that I tell it.
Earlier this morning on 18 May 2018, Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas was the scene of a horrible mass shooting.
The shooting left 9 students and 1 teacher dead and 10 other students injured.
Santa Fe police identified the alleged shooter as 17-year-old Dimitrios Pagourtzis. He is currently being held at the Galveston County Jail in Galveston, Texas on 10 counts of murder charges along with charges of aggravated assault.
This video displays the lyrics to Skyscraper by Demi Lovato. I thought it would be an appropriate way to pay tribute to the victims of this devastating tragedy.
