Volleyball Love
Throwing my body onto my new bed,I sighed in content. This is where I will be staying for a while. Well.... at least until i've gone down on the, "Who to kill first," list.
I escaped thanks to the help of my former spy of an Aunt, but not before i was put down as number one on the most wanted list. I was forced away from my small apartment in the cozy town called Austin, and instead stuck living near the hot beaches of sunny California. I've always wanted to visit Cali, but i've never gotten the chance, but i guess now I better get used to this cause it looks like I will be spending ALOT of time here.
A knock at the door came followed by my Aunt poking her head in.
"Hey hon, how you holding up?" She smiled. Her long black hair was pulled into a messy bun and the resemblance to my mother was uncanny.
"I like it here so far. I think that all i need is some new friends." I told her honestly.
"Okay, you should really head on down to the beach. You're always welcome to go out just make sure to have your phone and tell me where your going before you go." She gave a soft nod before disappearing into the hallway
So here I am now.. flip flops in hand, walking by the shore. I stood close enough to where my feet could get wet but i would be splashed gently by every other wave that came in. It truly was a sight to take in. I watched as the sun was setting over a group of volleyball players.
I turned around to head home when a sharp pain hit the back of my head and I came crashing to the ground. Now knowing me being a former spy in training, I would've known better than to freak out, but when a hand tapped my shoulder I couldn't help put grab their wrist and twist it backwards before flipping them onto the ground beside me.
I put up my hands standing stiff, waiting for a fight. A pair of light green eyes turned to stare at me with a pained expression making me freeze, hands in the air still ready to swing.
"I'm sorry I ever touched you. I just wanted to make sure you were okay.. That volleyball hit you pretty hard, I almost thought you passed out." he winced slightly in between sentences.
Dropping down my guard I rose my eyebrows up to an extent,"It's going to take a lot more than a volleyball to get rid of me." I joked.
The young guy stood up and stood just about three inches taller than me. He had chestnut brown hair and a good frame/build His eyes were what stood out the most. The emerald green sparkled and he had a splash of freckles across his nose and cheeks. Cute.
"What's your name fighter girl?" He asked flashing me a goofy smiled, that made my heart cringe alittle
"Scarlett, I just moved here." I responded emotionless.
He bent down to pick up the volleyball and tossed it up into the air,
"Well, Scarlett I have a feeling me and you will become best friends."He was almost too confident considering we just met.... boys.
"You expect me to be your best friend and i don't even know your name." I deadpanned quickly losing interest.
Flashing another crooked smile he responded, "Chase," before running off to finish his game.
I'd really appreciate feedback on this story just so i can know how its going and if i should continue, if not, then i can just stop the story. thanks, byee
