                                                                 The Beginning

"You bitch!" I screamed, "I trusted you. You were my best friend and this entire time you've been working with them?!" I bite out frustrated. Currently my hands and feet were tied up and i was strapped to a chair in a dimly lit grey room.

"Sorry hun, but i hate to break it to you but i've never really liked you. You disgust me and your nothing but a snobby, stuck up, spoiled brat." She spat.

Tears threatened to escape from my eyes and i was doing my best to hold them back. Even though i felt dead on the inside there was no way i was giving her the satisfaction of seeing me cry. She leaned in closer. her red hair flowing behind her back and i smirk etched onto her face.

"Do it," She laughed," C'mon, i dare you. Cry. I bet you wish you go home and cry to daddy huh? You always we're a crybaby. I don't even know how you lasted this long in our world without getting yourself killed already with that big fat mouth of yours. Well i'll tell you what, your dad is here and he has a few words for you." She sang with a sickly sweet tone at those last few words.

The people clothed in all black and white masks surrounding their faces yanked my head towards the screen before me as it cackled to life.

My fathers face appeared on the screen and i gasped as i realized how bloody and bruised it looked.

"If your watching this there's a good chance that this will be the last time you see me and i just have a few words for you that you must always remember. His face lifted to what appeared to be the camera and his eyes showed regret.

"I love you. Take care of your brother even though he doesn't even know you exist. Watch over him." He began. I wiped my eyes on my shoulder and turned back to the screen. My brother is now seventeen and i've had to hide in the shadows whenever i wanted to see him. He doesnt even know i existed. My parents didnt want him to grow up in a world where there is a good chance at least ten people are out to kill you. They told him he was an only child and he grew up alone with me watching from the shadows.

While he attended a normal school, i was attending one to teach me self defense, and any other skills necessary if i wanted to live past the age 21. I know it sounds pretty rough but my life actually turned out great. That is, until now.

"I want you to take down this whole union and fight for what we taught you to believe in. Kill these useless bastards and make sure to avenge, but most of all, find yourself.Don't be afraid to fall in love even though we know that in our world its dangerous, you need at least on person you can still count on. I love you." He whispered the last three words that i would ever hear from him.

Gunshots rang through the speakers hooked up to the video and i flinched involuntarily and my father fell limp to the floor, the sound of his crash echoing through the room.

I wouldn't bring myself to cry, i would save that for later.

Carla's laugh echoed through the room and the masked ones surrounding her took it as their cue to leave. She leaned in forward and i took that as my chance get out of here. I knocked my head forwards and collided with hers. She fell back with a grunt and i slipped the knife that i always keep up my sleeve and escaped.

Earlier

The sound of bells screeching erupted in the room and I made way for the nearest exit through the vents. Yanking the vent doors open i quickly crawled in only to have my feet pulled back.

" Carla, what the hell are you doing? We need to get out of here. And where have you been this entire time?" I questioned.

The last thing i remembered was being stuck with a tranquilizer and collapsing onto the vents below.

So i hope this is a somewhat decent beginning but i feel like this book wont do to well?

Oh well. Byeee
