1:12 am Seoul, South Korea

BANG.

BANG.

BANG.

I closed my eyes tighter bringing my knees up against my chest in hopes of blocking out the sounds. Dozens of thoughts seemed to cross my mind about the aggressive pounding of the walls. They weren't very nice thoughts.

Of course, it came from the new neighbor, Park Chanyeol.

The same guy who had the displeasure of meeting me in the worst possible situation.

The embarrassment of that whole fiasco still haunts even if it was weeks ago. I made sure to limit any sort of communication with him as I didn't want to relive another tree branch nightmare.

Although, Chanyeol wasn't exactly the most social guy. Sometimes, I'd come home to him standing outside his apartment door way with furrowed eyebrows, a cigarette in his mouth, and hushed conversations on his phone.

It was definitely weird.

For a while, I thought he was some sort of drug lord. I mean, it explained a lot of things.

But, the very very annoying pounding? I wasn't going to listen to it all night. I had to do something about it, after all a girl needs her beauty sleep.

I got out of bed, slipped on some random pair of shoes, and stood in front of his welcome home mat, determined to end the loud banging.

Hesitantly, I reached my arm up to his door, cursing Chanyeol a thousand times for making me do this. It's not like I have a choice?  He should've known people are trying to sleep.

I breathed in. Com'n Park Chaeyoung, just ask him sternly to stop, how hard can it be? I thought to myself before knocking hard enough to be heard.

For a brief second the noises stop. I breathed out satisfied he stopped whatever he was doing.

I could scuffling from inside the apartment and the unlocking of many locks.

The door opened widely to a shirtless man. I gasped my hands immediately going to cover my mouth.

This was not expected.

"What the fuck do you want?" Chanyeol leaned against the door frowning at the sight of me.

I could only leave my mouth hang at his words. "M-me? You're the one making noises loud enough to wake the whole neighborhood!" I yell unable to control my frustration.

He smirks at my anger. "You can't fuck quietly, sorry sweetheart."

"W-wait, I muster, my gaze slowly turning into disgust. "You're having sex? Is that why- oh gosh, gross." I lower my head, my cheeks flushing.

"If you want you can join, sweetheart. The more the merrier." Chanyeol asks.

I gag my hands clasping my stomach. That's what he was doing? All that noise was coming from the bed squeaking under their sweaty bodies. The thought itself made me gag.

"No thanks," I say sternly. "Just lower the volume or I'm calling the cops next time."

"You'll call the cops on me? What a shitty move." He scoffs his smirk slowly disappearing.

I stare at him. Unable able to form words. Was he offended? Did I offend Chanyeol? Wait, I shouldn't care if I offend him! He was the one for offended me by that ridiculous question.

"Sweetheart, I don't want you to show up on my doorstep ever again, as you can probably tell you're pissing me off. I'm tired, goodnight." He said closing the door.

But, my fingers quickly latch on to the door knob forcing him to leave it open. "W-wait, I thought you had some unfinished business with a lady?"

"There isn't a girl. I was lying."

And with leaving me speechless at the front of his door way. Park Chanyeol closed the door without another sound for the rest of the night.
