You're Not Here

Chapter 5

Bendy's Pov:

Finally, I made it to the top. Well, as close to the top as he could get, anyway. Someone from the ground began pointing and shouting. The others around him began doing the same. Someone was obviously calling the police because of how they were moving and talking into the phone. Oh, great. Now people are gonna try to get me to come down. Soon, the police arrived and began telling him to come down nice and easily. "I'm not coming down without jumping! I'm trying to commit suicide, here!" Bendy screamed back at the police. Bendy closed his eyes and thought of everything he had suffered. Being on my own with taking care of  Boris. Are dreams being crushed. Getting the Ink Illness. Losing my only brother... My only family. Now, the one person I've every truly loved like this doesn't want me. I'm ready to die. Goodbye Mr. Felix, Mr. Oswald, Mr. Mickey, Mugman... Cuphead. "Bends!" Bendy's eyes shot open and he looked down to see Cuphead and the others standing at the bottom of the clock tower. "What the hell are you doing here?!" Bendy screamed. "Don't do this, Bends! There's a lot more for you than you think!" Bendy took a step closer to the edge, nearly falling off. "Bendy, don't!" Felix yelled. "Go home, all of you! Besides, why would you stop me when you don't want me?!" Bendy yelled.

Cuphead's Pov:

   "Go home, all of you! Besides, why would you stop me when you don't want me?!" Cuphead realized why Bendy was so upset. He thinks I don't love him back. Oh, god. "Bends... That night when you kissed me, It felt amazing." "Then why did you run away if you liked it so much?" Cuphead sighed. "I-I'm sorry. I panicked! I though that you'd never feel the same I did. I'm sorry." Bendy looked down, then closed his eyes. When he finally opened his eyes, he took a step to the edge. "Goodbye, everyone. Goodbye Cuphead." Bendy closed his eyes and stepped off the edge. "BENDY! NO!" Cuphead shot through the crowd, racing to catch Bendy. Please, please, please, please! I don't want to lose him! Please, no! Bendy was halfway to the ground. Cuphead realized he wouldn't make it. There were too many people. Still, he tried to push trough. Suddenly, he was floating and speeding above the crowd. "B-Boris?" He was set down in front of the crowd. Bendy was almost to the ground. Cuphead shot towards him, barely catching him. Cuphead lost his balance and fell to the ground, gripping Bendy. "B-Bends?" Slowly, Bendy opened his eyes. "C-Cuphead? Oh, Cuppy!" Bendy wrapped his arms around Cuphead's neck. "I-I'm s-sorry, I never should've-" Cuphead cut Bendy off, kissing him. Cuphead heard someone clear their throat. He looked up to see the others standing over them, smiling amusingly. 

Boris's Pov:

He watched as everyone took turns hugging Bendy and thanking Cuphead. Boris walked over to them. "You're welcome, you know. I'm the one who picked you up, Cup." Cuphead giggled. "Oh, yeah! Thanks Bo- Boris?!" Cuphead was looking directly at him. "H-huh? You mean, you can hear me?" "W-we can see you, too." Mickey said, looking at him. Bendy jumped up and hugged Boris. "I-I can touch you... Oh god, Boris!" Bendy was crying. "Well, isn't this the sweetest thing?" a female voice that Boris didn't recognize stated."O-Ortensia?" Oswald asked, obviously shocked. The young, beautiful cat walked towards him and stopped several feet away from him. "Hey,  Ozzy. Hi, Mickey." She smiled sadly, then turned to Boris. "Boris, we've gotta go. The other angels are waiting." Boris looked very confused. Ortensia chuckled. "Oh, that's right! You didn't know. You see, you were supposed to go to heaven after you died. But you thought Bendy needed your help, so you fell back and became a ghost. You right, though. Bendy really did your help. But, now... Now he has Cuphead. He'll protect him, Boris." Ortensia smiled again and reached her hand towards Boris. Boris turned and looked at Bendy. "I won't be able to come back, will I?" Ortensia shook her head. "Bye, then, Bendy. I love you." Bendy ran up and hugged Boris again. "I-I love you, too..." After a while, Boris gently pulled Bendy away from him. Boris looked at Cuphead and smiled. "Take good care of my bro, Cup." Boris turned to leave, but someone nearly knocked him over. Mugman was hugging him. "D-don't go, Boris... I-I n-need you. You're the only friend I've ever had!" Boris gently pushed Mugman away, keeping his hands on Mugman's shoulders. Mugman was crying and whimpered."Mugs, you're the only friend I've ever had too. It hurts for me to leave, but I don't have a ch-" "Actually, you do." Boris whipped around to face Ortensia. "I do?" "Yeah, you could stay a ghost. But they wouldn't be able to see or hear you again." She looked disappointed. "No." Boris said, turning to Mugman and the others. "I love you guys. That's why I have to go." Boris waved and took Ortensia's hand. A bright light shone from the two, then they were gone. In heaven.
