Bendy's Pov:

"Ugh! Why is the stupid Ink Machine so fucking far away?!" Bendy complained as he trudged along the path the map said to follow. Cuphead shrugged, "You're the one with the map. We're all just your willing followers." Oswald glared at Cuphead. "Who says we're 'willing'?" Felix laughed. "Well, we are going where Bendy tells us. And we're not turning away, so..." Oswald shook his head and blushed. "There it is! That's where the map says the Ink Machine is! On the other side of the cave wall!" Bendy yelled excitedly. Everyone broke into a sprint and ran around the wall. On the other side, there was... Nothing? Only solid stone. Ceiling, floor, wall; all solid stone. "W-what?" Bendy whispered in dismay. He looked down at the map. Now, it was a blank piece of paper. The magic was gone. "I-it's not r-real? N-no, t-that c-can't b-be..." Bendy felt tears streaming down his face. "Bends? Hey, it's okay... Maybe we're looking in the wrong place. Maybe-" Cuphead started another excuse. "NO! THE MAP DOESN'T HAVE ITS MAGIC ANYMORE! THE INK MACHINE NEVER EXISTED! MY BROTHER WASTED HIS LIFE!" Bendy screamed. He fell to the ground, sobbing. Cuphead tried to comfort Bendy, failing miserably. "H-hey... Bends?" Bendy was no longer screaming out of sadness, but now out of pain. Ink was quickly covering his face and his breathing began to slow. The screaming ceased and Bendy's breathing was all they could barely hear. "B-Bendy?" Felix's worried voice came from somewhere....

Cuphead's Pov:

"Bends? Bends, answer me!" Bendy's breathing became almost inaudible. Cuphead pulled Bendy's ink-covered sleeve back and pressed his fingers to Bendy's wrist. Nothing. "N-no, no, no, no, no! Bendy, don't leave me!" Cuphead desperately tried to get Bendy's pulse back. CPR didn't work. Nothing worked. Bendy gasped out one final sentence. "I love you." Then, he was gone.
