Yuuri let of groan of frustration as he dropped the box on the floor for what seemed to be the 15th time today. He pushed his hair back, ruffling the small bits of snow that managed to sneak into his messy raven hair. He has been moving his things upstairs for almost hours now, and this appeared to be the last one before Yuuri could start unpacking anything. With one last final sigh, he shifted his arms over container once more and began to lift.
As an author who loves to focus their characters in regal areas and has a strange passion for russian ballet, going to St. Petersburg as an inspiration well was almost an immediate thought. Yuuri had accidentally started a decently well-known book called 'Phila.' It wasn't meant to be extraordinary; just a drabble behind an anonymous name published because of one certain Detroit roommate from Thailand. But after it sold so many copies in just his area alone, Yuuri was surprised to see it translated into more langauges than just english; French, Japanese, Spanish.... The list goes on. Then after that, the popularity got larger and larger. Before he knew it, the draft for his next book sat on his laptop.
Yuuri wanted to write, he truly did. He loves writing as much as he loves dancing. Every time he does ether, a surge of joy to become a story just happens. Its like he's playing god or a orcacle of sorts, speaking or moving tales and weaving songs with his body. He loved literture, it was one of his favorite ways to pass the time.
But sometimes...
Sometimes he can't do anything.
Sometimes, his will to write dries up, vanishes. Usally at the worst times as well. Like when he finds an interesting idea to bounce off of but he ends up making the words choppy less flowy then he wanted. Or when he just stares at his computer all day hoping for sentences to jump from his keyboard on the screen.
Writer's block was truly the worst thing for any author to face.
And this one wouldn't leave him alone.
Yuuri even struggled with writing a simple grocery list one time.
After confronting his best friend and editor, Phichit, he suggested for some good old classic soul-searching. Find new ground to colonize, find a new source and go bold. Surprise his already growing audience. Be.. Be different.
So with extreme hestience, Yuuri looked the earliest flight to Russia in April. And Yuuri was begining to regret every decision made up leading to this moment.
The same day that Yuuri was supposed to leave for St. Petersburg was the same day a massive rainstorm accored, delaying the flight completly for another 4 hours. This news didn't come to Yuuri till he already got his ticket and he was rushing to the boarding station because he accidentally overslept due to a party the night before, leaving Yuuri to do nothing but sleep on the airport chairs with a bunch of strangers looking like him like he was some random bum who managed to get past airport sercurity. Even then when he finally got on the damned plane, Yuuri still wasn't safe from his undeserved bad luck.
Yuuri had the luck pleasure to sit on one of the worst plane rides of his life. Around 5 moms brought their whining children on board, letting them run upand down the seats like small murderous gremlins. Around half of the airport passengers were loud forgieners who basically screamed at each other as a bad attempt at converesation. And Yuuri didn't want to get started on his row alone. A overweight middle-aged man who reeked of body and french toast kept getting up and going to the bathroom, forcing Yuuri to stand up every 5 mintues. An old lady sat to his right kept asking him personal questions and wouldn't stop talking about her grandchildren. Hell, even two teenagers decided it would be so freaking funny to play the penis game when everybody was told to go to sleep. At end point, Yuuri was sobbing in relief when he finally saw that the plane was landing.
