Chapter 10

I was arranging the dining table with all the delicacies, particularly, Sehun's bubble tea and Jongin's fried chicken. After all it was their day. I and Baekhyun were doing the decorations and dining arrangements while the montley crew was busy preparing entertainments like karaoke, play stations and arcades. We planned to play all night. It was the graduation party for the twins. They graduated school and we completed our 1 year semester. Ahhh.... I forgot to introduce the montley crew I mentioned earlier. It was none other than Chanyeol and his college mates Jongdae, Yixing and Kyungsoo. They belong to their college band. They sticked well together as they spent most of the time in practice. They were the celebs and crushes for many of their university girls. The reason was not only their visuals but also their talent in academics and extra-curriculars. I could remember how Jongdae used to brag about their hit in covering a beatles song.

I was supposed to enjoy that party wholeheartedly. I was pampered by almost everyone as I was the only girl in company. Ofcourse, Sybil was there but she was all lovey- dovey with her boyfriend Luhan. Everything was perfect for me unless the arrival of Sophie. She was a Korean raised in L.A. She conquered the title 'university beauty' and was in the same class of Chanyeol. So everyone including Sophie believed that she was the perfect match for that multi-talented Park Chanyeol.
She flashed a bright smile at me revealing her white teeth bordered by thin pink lips. I reciprocate a fake smile. Her appearance was totally femme fatale. Her presence caused chaos among the boys. They volunteered to act cool and charismatic. They were geeks a minute before her arrival. Sybil too raised her guard up to protect Luhan from being lured by Sophie's mascara coated, fake eyelashes adorned eyes.
Two males were totally resistant to Sophie. It was Sehun and Chanyeol. Surprisingly, Sehun got no interest in her instead, he came near me and started playing with my blouse's cuff which was his habit when he was around me. I got used to it but that day, that habit meant a lot to me. I felt assured that atleast this one person had been caring me. He even went to the extent of coloring his hair with Neapolitan ice cream colour as that was my favourite flavour. He said that he was dying to die his hair since his final exams.

Yeah, he was a bit crazy but loving kid. But I scolded for his insane hairstyle *even though it suits well for him. That hair colour suited him well*. I patted his shoulder, "yash, Sehun ah! you ought to show these kind of gesture to your future girl friend, not to your noona". He pouted and I chuckled but my smile suddenly vanished when I found Sophie dragging Chanyeol towards the balcony.

As if I was possesed, I shadowed them. I safely hid myself behind a pillar. The moonlit balcony was a perfect place for a romance. The breeze was filled with a sweet scent of earth. But I could intake neither that enjoyable weather nor the scene of the couple looking at each other under the moonlight. I was sinking in the flood of unknown panic. A lump caught in my throat. I knew that they were get in to a deep kiss, yet I yearned for a mishap that would stop them.
"A mishap, my a**", I visioned cupid smirking. I heard a thunder and my view went black as I closed my eyes out of fear. I successfully suppressed my shriek as I was well aware that my noise would alert everyone; obviously I would be embarrassed. I hesitated to open my eyes again to see Sophie hugging Chanyeol out of fear leading to a passionate kiss.
Suddenly, I felt familiar hands bringing warmth to my spines. I was mentally forced to open my eyes to check on the person who just gave me a back hug.
