*Keith's P.O.V*

Lance and I are walking home after todays shift. We finished work at around 10 and it's now 10:15. I have a bad feeling about this, the darkness is a little too quiet. I can tell Lance thinks so to.

I link arms with him partly to ease his discomfort and partly to ease my own. about a block away from our shared apartment a hand snaps over my mouth and I'm hit in the head so hard it knocks me out. Just before my eyes slip closed I see someone do the same to Lance.

(The next day)

*Lance's P.O.V*

I groan and sit up, I have a headache worse than a hangover and I can tell that I've been on the ground most of the time I've been passed out. I finally open my eyes and begin to look around the room.

In one corner there's a bed with my best-friend and roommate curled up on it, in the next corner there's an open door that leads to a bathroom, the next wall is bars with a locked door and there are two trays in front of the door with water bottles and plates of food.

I pick up the trays and walk over to the bed; setting them down at the end, I turn to face Keith. I sit next to him on the bed, after a moment of admiring his sleeping form I shake his shoulder gently and he stirs. I shake him again slightly harder and he sits up.

Keith squeaks then wraps his arms around my waist. "I was so worried!" he exclaims "When I woke up you were still knocked out and I couldn't get you to wake up." I get out of Keith's grasp and grab the trays from the end of the bed then we switch positions so that I'm sat against the headboard and Keith is sat between my legs, lent against my chest. After that we begin to eat. I always wanted to be with Keith like this; but not under these circumstances.

After I finish my food I place my water by my side and my tray on the floor. I play with Keith's hair until he finishes his food then he slides both of our empty trays over to the bars. we change position again so were laid down in the bed.

"We should try and get some sleep" I say my voice hoarse from lack of use. I curl up with Keith and let sleep consume me.
