Chapter 18

Sam.

It's 5pm.
I will be seeing Cee and Jenna again as well as all my friends and family I left behind in Oder for me to move on.

I was getting ready, putting on my clothes and preparing my clothes when my phone rang. I when to check who it was, it was Lisa. "Hello." I picked up "You told me you would Call me when you would get there!" She sounded angry and worried "...you already forgetting about me when your hanging out with HER?" She sounded super jealous "I haven't seen her yet Lisa." I laughed ignoring her possessiveness towards me "I was tired when I got here and went straight to sleep, forgive me. But I won't forget from now on." She made a little happy noise "okey. I miss you already! Come back quickly." After that we both hanged up and I continued on preparing myself for today's wedding meeting.

Me and Marcus were just getting out the car. We had arrived to Cee and Jenna's house and I couldn't find the courage to get up and go inside knowing she would be there. "Get your shit together girl." Marcus said, I looked at him with a worried face "I'm nervous I haven't seen her for so long and she's married now." I felt a jealously and anger wave go through me, mentioning the fact she was married 'I thought I had moved on, sam!' I said in my head. I finally stopped talking to myself and got out of the car with Marcus following my lead.

"SAM!" Cee shouted as soon as she opened the door, jumping into my arms and sobbing like a baby on my shoulder "calm down women! It's not like we spoke everyday." I said laughing, Cee immediately stopped hugging me "speaking to you on the phone is not the same thing as to this!" She continued sobbing. I just laughed and patted her shoulder "alright. Let's go inside then, so I can make Jenna cry too." When I was about to walk inside Cee stopped me "Aren't you going to introduce us." Pointing at Marcus behind me "oh. I'm sorry, this is Marcus my good friend, Marcus this is my best friend Cee, the one that is getting married." Marcus being Marcus tried to act charming and held Cee hand and gave it a kiss "hello beautiful, it's a pleasure to meet you." I shook my head 'this moron.' After they greeted each other I tried to walk inside again but was stopped again. "She's in there. And she isn't happy." I froze. I looked at Cee and asked why and she replied with a simple "you."

Cee walked us to her living room and that's when I saw everyone. I saw Cee's siblings and family and I saw Jenna's family also. They were all chatting without noticing me, Jenna was happily looking at wedding dresses magazine with.... Kim. I saw her and I couldn't stop seeing her. My eyes wouldn't leave her face. She had longer hair, coming down to her waist, I could tell she had been running more she had gained a more firm athletic body, she had also gained freckles around her cheeks to her cute nose. She was the same, just more beautiful. I kept looking at her until Cee came from behind me and surprised everyone "Guess who arrived!" Making 'Her' look up at me, it was a second gaze before she completely ignored me and looked at Marcus.

"Sam!" Jenna got up and approached me with open eyes "I've surprisingly missed you." She whispered making me chuckle out. Soon after everyone was hugging me and asking me to introduce Marcus for them. The only person that wasn't interacting with us was 'her'. From the corner of my eyes I could see Jenna encouraging her to get up and greet us and she did. "Hello, my name is Kimberly, it's nice to meet you Marcus." She shook Marcuses hand in the progress "KIMBERLY. I finally have the face to the name." That comment made Kim have a quick glance at me. I could feel my face go red out of embarrassment 'I'll kill you later Marcus.' Kim wasn't going to speak to me so soon, so I had to make the first step "Hey Kim. It's nice seeing you again." I nervously said to her not really keeping eye contact for to long "Hello Samatha, same."
'Samatha? She had never could me by my full name.' She quickly walked back to her seat and continued looking through the magazine, ignoring everything else. "So should we go the dinner then?" Cee broke the awkward moment, making us all agree.

We were all currently in the restaurant "Stake house" by all I meant, Myself, Marcus, Cee, Jenna and Kim. We had all ordered and were just waiting for the food making small talk. "So Marcus, how did you meet Sam?" Jenna asked "Well, it was an afternoon when I was going to surf and I saw Sam taking this big wave and just thinking she was crazy for doing it and sense then I hadn't stopped annoying her." Making everyone laugh by he's story. "Sooo how did you meet Sam, Kimberly?" Everyone stopped moving for a second looking at Marcus for asking that, I roughly stomped he's foot next to me, making him hiss out of pain. Nobody thought Kim would answer but she did and with the truth. "We met at a club and had sex on the same day. We then later decided to continue fucking behind my future husband's back at the time and throughout the course of time we gained feelings, destroying what we had planned for which was sex with no attachment, causing us to break whatever we had. And that's how we met, which led to you meeting her."

Sense Kim's story no one had made an effort to talk, everyone was just eating. I could tell everyone was feeling out of place. "Kim can I talk to you privately." I had to speak to her, it was the best thing to do, I was going to stay for 2 weeks and having this atmosphere won't be good for the wedding so I had to end it. Kim had just left the table giving me the hint to follow her outside.

"It's their wedding." I simply said looking at her while she was showing me her back "I think everyone knows that. That's why your here." She's trying to be smart and avoid the conversation "Kim. You know what I mean." I sternly said "... can't we act civilised?" I said again. She finally turned towards me, with a very pissed off face.

"If you think I'll act like we are friends in front of everyone which we never were, your wrong because I won't. I can't even stand to look at you!" She said full of venom.
