The bonfire night was weird, the stories Billy told were amazing but I think they all believe they are true, could it be? I mean I know part of me believed him but could that just be wishful thinking? Wishful thinking that there really is magic in the world and not just this chaos? But if it was real then that means the monsters in the story are real, the blood sucking Vampires.

Could it all be true?

Brushing the thoughts out of my head I get out of bed, I was filled with so much energy; I just had to burn it off. I got into my running kit and jogged down the stairs. Billy was sat at the kitchen table while my dad was making breakfast.

“Morning sweetheart, where you going?” my dad said turning away from the eggs and towards me.

“I have so much energy right now, so I’m going for a run.” I said in reply.

“Without breakfast” he said disapprovingly.

“Well yeah, if I eat now, I might make myself sick. But make plenty am sure I will be starved when I get back” I started to make my way to the back door when billy called out my name.

“Yeah?” I said looking back.

“Have you always had that birthmark, on your shoulder?” he asked.

“Oh yeah I guess, I mean I only noticed it like last year but mum said its always been there why?”

“Oh it’s just it looks like a half moon, it’s intriguing”

“Oh I guess I never really get a good look at it considering where it’s positioned. Anyways See you two later” I took off out back before anything more could be said. I needed this run the energy that was bubbling inside me trying to get out and this was the only way I could think of.  I ran through the tree’s dodging trees, rocks, bushes, even branches with pure ease. This is where I belonged, in the woods, where my heart lied.  Right here in the woods surrounding Forks.

I ended up near the police station about an hour later and really needed more water, so I made my way inside.

“Can I help you Miss?” One of the officers asked.

“Yes, could I get some water please, I’ve been running and ran out, can’t let dehydration set in, and I do hate to waste your time like this”

“That’s ok Miss we can’t have you taking a trip to the hospital due to dehydration, I’ll only be a moment” the officer walked away and shortly returned with a bottle of water.

“Oh thank you so much” I said taking the bottle and drinking as much as I could.

“Now I never thought I would see you in the police station Alice” I turned to see Chief Swan standing behind me with his arms crossed over his chest. He looked good, healthy.

“Ah Chief Swan I don’t believe I ever had the pleasure” I said holding out my hand for him to shake. This was the first time I had officially met him.
