(A/n: this is gonna be a boring chapter so feel free to skip.)

3 months later

"Hey Ronnie, I'm gonna go tell my mom and Liv about me being pregnant. I'll be back soon."

"Okay. Don't be too long, babe. I'll miss you."

"I won't. Maybe an hour or two."

"Okay. I love you." Ronnie says.

"I love you too. Bye Ronnie, bye Mila." I walk out the door and drive myself to my mom's house. I knock on her door.

"Hello? Oh, Emma!" My mom says.

"Hi, mom. Can we talk?" I ask.

"Of course, honey. Come in." She leads me into her living room and we sit on her couch. "So, what's going on?"

"Well," I take a deep breath. "I'm pregnant..."

"Oh my! Congratulations, Em!"

I fake a smile. "Thanks mom."

"What's wrong? Do you not want it?"

"If I'm gonna be honest, no. I didn't like the stress of being pregnant before and I don't know how I'll be able to handle it." I explain.

"You have to understand, Emma, that despite the pain, it's your child. You and Ronnie will love it the same as if you wanted it." She says.

"I know, mom, I'm just so stressed. Thanks for supporting me. I gotta go."

"Okay, baby, you're strong and you can get through it. I love you." She puts her hand on mine.

"I love you too mom." I hug her and leave. I dial Liv's number. "Hello?"

"Hey, Emma. What's up?"

"Can I stop over for a bit?" I ask.

"Yeah? Is something wrong?"

"Yeah. I've got a lot of things to get off my chest."

"Yas! Gossip!"

"Haha. I'll be right over."

"Bye." She hangs up the phone. I hope Liv takes it well and doesn't say anything.

I made sure not to tell my mom about what happened with Max and I because I don't want her to hate me. She'll definitely be so angry at me if I told her about me being unfaithful.

I press the door bell and wait for Liv to answer. "Hey, girly." Liv says.

"Hi." I respond.

"So what did you want to talk about?" She asks as we walk into her apartment.

"I don't know how to start off. Ronnie has a friend named Max. Max sorta likes me.. and one night, I thought Ronnie was cheating on me so I went to go investigate and took Max as my plus-one, Max ended up taking it more serious... and it turned out Ronnie wasn't cheating, and Max and I sort of..."

"Oh. My. Goodness. Are you serious?! Emma! This is crazy! Tell me more!" She begs.

"Ronnie doesn't know a thing.. I don't plan on telling him, but I don't know what to do.. You and Max are the only ones that know. If Ronnie finds out, he'll do stuff to me that I can't even imagine."

"Em, this isn't good. Why would you do that?"

"I don't know, Liv, I really don't. I'm just super stressed and I just don't know." I pour my heart out.

"Is there anything else going on?"

I nod my head slowly.

"Well? What is it?" She asks.

I lower my head to my stomach. A tear drips down my cheek and onto my shirt.

"Oh no. Youre pregnant? Emma, you're screwed."

"Yeah.. but I don't know who the father is.."

"Oh shit. Does Ronnie know you're pregnant?"

"Mhm. But I haven't told him that I had sex with Max too. What do I do?" I wish there was a good answer to all of this, but I've put myself through a hell that I know I can not escape at this point.

"Well, your only option is to hope he doesn't find out. Keep in touch with Max if it's his, and stay with Ronnie either way." Liv suggests.

"Thanks, Liv. Can we eat now? I'm starving."

She laughs. "Yeah. How about my mom's diner in the city?"

"Hell yeah! We haven't been there in ages!"

We drive to her mom's small diner in the city and drop by to see her mom.

"Hey, mom!" Liv says as we walk through the tiny doors.

"Hi, honey! Hi Emma!" Her mom says.

"How did you recognize me?" I ask.

"I don't know. You and Liv used to always hang out, I figured it was you."

Liv interrupts. "Emma's pregnant."

Her mom stood dumbfounded. "Emma! Congratulations!"

"Thanks. I'm 3 weeks along." I tell her. I hope her mom doesn't think I don't want it.

"Well, lunch is my treat then. Sit down. I'll be right back." Liv and I sit down at the table.

"Liv, what's the matter with you? Why did you tell your mom my business?" I look infuriated at her.

"I don't know. It felt like my need to say it. I felt that you didn't want to say it. I'm your best friend. I know you better than anyone."

Hate to say it, but she's right. She knew that I didn't want to say it so she said it for me.

"Well, thanks." I say as her mom walks up and drops off a pitcher of water at our table.

"What do you guys want to eat?" Her mom asks.

*jump back to Ronnie's house*

I walk into the house. The house is silent and all the lights are off. Ronnie must be sleeping. I enter our room and find Ronnie and Mila sleeping on our bed. My heart gets warm. I suddenly remember that I had go get a sample of Ronnie's hair for the doctor.

I walk over to him and carefully pull out one of his hairs. A wave of relief that he didn't wake up rolls over me. Okay, now that I've got Ronnie's hair sample, I have to get Max's. Great. I call up Max and hope he doesn't ask for anything bad from me.
