The Moon's Fallen Angel

Part 1

Angel's POV

I run as fast as I could. I'm struggling with those heals, kaya hinubad ko na lang at binitbit. I just want to get away from them. My eyes stings from unstoppable tears. I just can't believe what happened. I'm adopted! I thought my life was perfect. But I'm wrong.

And now, I'm running away from those freaking holdapers in the park. I'm so unfortunate today. As I went on the clearing in the forest, I know that I get far enough. So I stop. I'm already tired. I'm tired of everything! I look in the sky. The moon shines so bright.

"Why ?!!! Why did you give me this life if it's not real ?!!! I thought everything was perfect !! I even thought that I was perfect !! So, Bakit ?!!! You took everything from me !! Anong gagawin ko ngayon ?..."

I continue to sob until I hear something. It's like a branch falls out. It's already late, and I'm starting to feel uncomfortable. I'm freezing. If I only knew that I will become a running princess then I should have brought extra clothes. I came from the costume party that was organize by my aunt, unfortunately, she took that opportunity to reveal that I'm adopted from no where. Yep, she said that my parents just saw me in the park and they decided to adopt me, since my mom can't bear a child at that time.

When I was 3 years old, a miracle happened and nagkaanak sila mom and dad. Pantay Ang treatment sa amin kaya hindi man lang pumasok sa isip ko na ampon lang ako. They gave everything to me. Lahat ng hingin ko at gustuhin ko. Maayos din ang samahan namin ng sister ko na si  Zoey.

Pero ng dumating si Aunt Sue, nagbago ang lahat. Naging maldita na sa akin si Zoey and as her elder sister, I didn't tolerate her behavior. I confronted her multiple times if may problema siya sa akin. Lagi niyang sinasabi na naiinis siya sa akin and she wants me out of her life. I fought back everytime she tried to hurt me so it always end up na siya yung nagmumukhang victim kapag naaabutan kami nila mom and dad. I tried to explain pero siya lagi ang kinakampihan. Kesyo, panganay ako kaya dapat ako ang umiintindi.

Ngayon, naiintindihan ko na. I'm just the adopted one. Kitang kita ko sa mga mata nila kanina na tinalikuran na nila ako. Hindi man lang nila ako pinakinggan.

Flashback

It's my sister's birthday. Kahit ayokong pumunta, pinilit ko ang sarili ko. Mom and dad will be disappointed if Hindi ako a-attend. Dadalawa lang kaming magkapatid and gusto nila mom na magkasundo kami.

Habang naglalakad ako sa gitna ng event area ng aming hotel kung saan imbitado ang lahat ng mga pinaka-mayayamang tao papunta sa seat ng friends ko, bigla akong napatid. Rinig ko ang lakas ng tawanan lalo na ng sister at aunt ko.

"Bakit ka nagsiswimming diyan sa sahig, it's a costume party, not a pool party." Sabi ni Zoey.

Lalong lumakas ang tawanan at nakarinig pa ko ng mapangutyang mga salita.

"Clumsy!"

"Is she a real Florence? She's not acting like one."

"What a shame!"

Tumayo ako at hinarap ko sila.

"I know you did it on purpose. It's your birthday. Your already 15 Zoey. Stop acting like this. I haven't done anything on you. I love you as my sister. So whatever it is, let's fix it."

"Acting like what? You're the one that's messing up so you should be the one who should stop blaming your clumsiness to others. And you're not my sister. Ewww. I love myself too. Everyone loves me. But for you, just keep you filthy love to yourself, don't bother telling me your L-O-V-E."
