They Were Wrong

The Spot

The entire ride to the beach was pretty silent. We had little conversations but they didn't last too long. They were mostly just about how pretty the view of the city was. The silence allowed me too think about why I was so interested in this girl. What's so different about this one girl she's breath taking. Finally after what felt like a million years we arrived at the beach. Was we park and get out I see her lean against my car and light a cigarette.

Grayson - " So why do you smoke?" I asked because I don't understand the concept of smoking and why so many people do it even though they know that it kills so many people.

Baby - " My dad did and my mom does so does the rest of my family, so one day I thought to myself why don't I do it cause if they say anything they would just be hypocrites."

This probably sounds ridiculous but I wonder what she means by her dad did? Did he stop smoking? or did he die? I can't ask her that!!! All I keep thinking to myself is don't bring it up she'll tell you if she wants too or needs to talk about it....right? maybe? ahhhhh I don't know!?! I have to hurry and say something before she thinks I'm ignoring her.

Grayson - " That's a pretty good reasoning Baby but it's gonna kill you one day."

GEEZ WHY DID I SAY THAT?!?! I still have no idea what happened to her dad and if he died....why am I freaking out so much over this??

Baby - "I know."

I hear footsteps coming from the direction she was and I hear her little laugh which made me smile and look up. Before she actually looked at me I pretended to be offended so I could make her laugh again.

Grayson - " Hey I wasn't done making our seats." I say while standing up and crossing my arms across my chest, like I'm pitching a fit. she throws her hands in there to inform me that she wasn't trying to "hurt" my feelings. We laugh a bit then sit down in my trunk where I made our seats out of spare blankets and pillows I keep in my trunk. I go on adventures with my brother alot, we do almost EVERYTHING together. He's my best friend. My eyes follow her as she walks closer to the water then flicks her cigerette. She sits down next to me just staring up at the stars. As she is looking at the stars and planets i take in as much of her beauty as possible.

Grayson - " The view is just beautiful isn't it?" I say as i'm admiring her. She turns and looks at me, I smirk then look up at the stars as she did just seconds ago.

Grayson - " The pizza should be here any minute." I was getting hungry so I definetly was wondering where my food was.

Baby - " I totally forgot we even ordered pizza."

We laugh a little at the comment she just made then just waited in silence for the pizza to arrive. It wasn't an awkward silence though, it was more calming and nuriousing.

After awhile the pizza finally showed up and i thought it was time to ask questions since I barely know this girl and decided to drag her out here with me. Don't get me wrong I want to get to know her...what i'm trying to say is there's something about this girl that just makes all my worries and problems float away. I want to make her laugh every chance I get and make her smile every second of everyday. I have to have this girl.

Grayson - " So how did you end up at that party anyway? You didn't really seem like you wanted to be there." I just laugh a little then take a bite out of my pizza.

Baby - " My best friend told me I should get outta the house. what about you?"

Grayson - " My brother told me about it. Most of my friends were there so I stopped and said hi and everything."

Baby - " Older or younger brother?"

Grayson - " Twin actually he's older than me though. Do you have any siblings?" When I see the look on her face change just in the slightest way I immediately regret even asking.

Baby - " No it's just me and my mom, but she's barely home so it's basically like I live alone."

Grayson - " I'm sorry." I look over to her and she turns her head as well. Our eyes meet and we just look at eachother for a second. Until I thought I was making her uncomfortable.

Grayson - " Are you gonna eat the rest of your pizza?" was the only thing that came to my h=brain fast enough to say to her. Also because I noticed she hasn't eaten much.

Baby - " No. I had a pretty big lunch today."

She held it out to me and I took it. Something felt odd about her telling me that she wasn't that hungry, but I don't want to be rude and fuck it up with her so I just keep my mouth closed.

As I get up and throw the pizza box away I turn back around and see Baby leaning against my car looking straight at me. She had a cigerette in hand which made her even more hot to be honest. Even though I definetly do not support that I can't just tell her to stop I barely know her.

Even though I just met her it feels like i've known her forever. I have a special spot that I discovered when I went through a very bad rough patch a couple years ago. It's kind of like my own personal safe haven. I've came to this spot so any times the people who own just let me have my space and tell me to lock up when i'm done thinking and everything. I am the only person who comes here....Baby will be the first person I bring here.

Grayson - " I wanna show you soemthing."
