I stared at the tray of vanilla frosted cupcakes I held in my hands, eyes wide as I salivated picturing myself devouring the sweet treats. My tongue ran across my lips in one simple sweep, I shouldn't, but I should.

"There you are." A voice said from beside me, my attention however remained on the cakes in front of me, I didn't need to look to tell that my best friend Arabella had approached me. As she did she released all the items she had bundled in her arms into the trolley with a small bang. "I've been looking all over for you, D."

"You should know where I would be." I remarked with a small roll of the eyes.

"Well, I was busy looking for real snacks for the party and snacks that could feed more than just one person." Arabella retorted, a smirk on her stained red lips.

"Bitch." I mumbled before slowly placing the tray back onto the shelf. "But you're right, I need to watch it, all my weight goes to my ass."

Before I could place the tray down Arabella had snatched it from my grasp and added it to trolley. "Ridiculous, your ass looks amazing. You could get any guy with that ass."

She then headed forward towards the aisle with the drinks and alcohol. I self consciously crossed my arms over my torso, trying to cocoon myself, whilst on my best friend's tail. "Shut up."

"I'm not kidding, I'm not saying go crazy but please try and have fun tonight." Arabella came to a halt and started placing an array of liquor and fizzy drinks into the trolley.

I rolled my eyes once more, but I knew she was right. I had the reputation for being uptight but who could blame me? My father was a very stern and strict man who wanted nothing but the best for me, however only with the career of his choice.

"Ryker will be there." She added in a hushed voice, the mention of his name causing me to tense up instantly. Ryker was a guy in our class with dreamy blue eyes and smooth and silky brown hair.

"I'm going to get my strawberry daquiris." I said, desperate to avoid this conversation.

I went all school-girl whenever Ryker was mentioned, twisting the ends of my dark hair and giggling incessantly. My almond orbs scanned the aisle until I came across the only alcoholic beverage I could tolerate, perhaps it was because it was so sweet it fooled me into thinking I was drinking anything but alcohol. With a slight shrug, I reached for the high shelf and pulled the last case of strawberry daquiris towards me.

A few cans had came loose and I knew what was destined to happen.

All of sudden a hand wrapped around my waist and pulled me out of the way of the flying cans and they landed with a clang. A bright red liquid started to leak from them.

I shook my head.

Of course I had to make a mess.

"Shit." I cursed under my breath.

"It's okay, one of the workers know they're going to clean it up."

Somebody said behind me.

"Oh, thank you-" I was suddenly left speechless as I turned to express my gratitude.

The guy who had saved me was full of charcoal hair, contrasting with his pale skin, there was a small twinkle in his swirling pools of chocolate heaven that had me hypnotized.

"I managed to save this one." He said handing me the can. I extended my hand in order to accept it, his fingers brushed mine lightly and I giggled.

There was the school girl I was trying to avoid.

"Uh thanks again." I grinned finally taking the can and turning to head back in the direction I came.

Shaking my head, I let out a small sigh blowing my bangs around my forehead.

Once Arabella was in my sights, I darted in her direction dumping the cans in the trolley without any warning causing her to jump suddenly. "Jesus, you scared me."

"Who is that?" I gestured for her to discreetly check out the guy browsing the aisle behind us.

Arabella however was the least discreet person I had the pleasure of knowing, at the mention of the guy behind us her head instantly whipped up and she was full on gaping at him.

She returned her gaze to my face, grinning widely she pulled me close. "That's Min Yoongi."

"He seems nice. A little familiar."

"Uh, he's smoking hot, thank you very much." She corrected, earning a stern look from myself.

"Oh my god, you're so loud!" I scolded, peering over her shoulder to see if he heard. Much to my dismay he had already disappeared.

I let out a small sigh trying to hide my disappointment.

"Oh well, let's go. We still have a lot to do before tonight." I started pushing the trolley, whilst glimpsing the itinerary I had made for the day.

My father had instilled military style behaviour into me from a young age, and because of it I was always organised, well-mannered and 'lady like'. However it also meant I was very uptight as my best friend liked to remind me.

"Speaking of tonight, where does your father think you are?"

"Studying with you and the girls, it took a lot of convincing but he eventually caved." I shrugged.

Although I felt guilty for lying to my father it was the only way for me to have a social life, if it were up to him I'd be locked away.

" He never would have let me go if I told him the truth, especially after the accident."

Brooklyn wrapped an around my shoulder, a devilish smirk on her lips. "Trust me, it will be worth it. And if you at all feel sick let me know, I'll kick everyone out and we'll sit and watch Grey's or Charmed, even The O.C."

Like my father, Arabella was very protective of me. She was even before the accident. But unlike my father, she refused to let the accident define me. Of course I had limits, but she encouraged me and made sure to catch me if I were to stumble.

And that's why I loved her so much.

We reached the tills and began placing the items on the conveyor belt ready to pay. I quickly glanced over her shoulder with hope to see Min Yoongi wandering in the distance, but he was really gone.
