Sidney's POV

Suddenly I could breath again. I don't know what happened but it felt like hands were wrapping around my neck.Wait... my father!

"Alec!!" I scream. Making sure he heard me.

Alec runs into the room with a concerned expression but when he sees me sitting up and breathing normally and alive he looks relieved.

"Sidney, what is it?" Alec asks. He seems tired. I feel a bit guilty.

"Can I tell you something?" I ask. Unsure of how I should say this.

"Of course you can. You can trust me with anything." Alec says.

I take a deep breath before countenuing.

"My father is the one who tried to kill me. And he was the one who tried to choke me to death." I say.

Alec's POV

Those words echoed through my mind.

Anger filled my body. I stayed calm though. At least on the outside. I didn't want to scare Sidney. I knew it! He was abusing her! Her mother used to stop her but she was beat to death trying to save Sidney and her little sister Lily.

"Sidney please don't be scared." I said softly. She gave me a curious look.

Sidneys POV

"Sidney please don't be scared." Alec said. I gave him a curious look.

Suddenly he made flames come out of his palm. First I was shocked but then overjoyed! Yes! He had the gift!! I'm the not only one!! Yes!!!
